For all who are desparetly trying, like I did for the past 2.5h: for me it worked really well to push the earcups upwards over the bottom nipple. After it has connected to this first, bottom nipple, try to get the top nipple, by stretching the cup, so that the nipple remains on the inside and the cup on the outside. After that you only have to arrange the cups so that they fit with the side nipples
I've just brought a replacement set of pads and as far as my research has gone they are interchangeable...I must say they are not as simple to replace as this video suggests.
It is actually remarkably easy, this video is just horrible, look at how to do it here: th-cam.com/video/VSWpu7Icd_k/w-d-xo.html Basically, pop off and then pop on if you grab it the right way.
With practice maybe it could be this easy but it's not too bad you just have to carefully fit or stretch the plastic pads just barely over the little hooks they snap into. Either side is fine.
