Smart move, very good management from Kiely.
    Spoke directly to the media
But all his players heard what he said.
    Any complacency squashed.
    Very good group management.

I can see why Kiely might be getting a bit hot under the collar, with X players from other counties pumping up his team , which does get in people's heads and Limerick players are not immune to it , but the frustration with the red cards and X county players pointing out all Limericks fouls long after the game is over , might be part of his rant too , but did not want to say it out loud

@@patrickcoleman7997 but he gave that interview right after the match? How could he have had time to read or watch what ex county players said about limerick fouls? He was talking directly and clearly about how the championship is much closer and every game is hard despite what the narrative is around limerick being unstoppable. It’s really clear what he was saying.

How can you say figured out? He basically using a tactic of pulling and tearing at them in the hope of retaliation, slowing the pick outs right down, that’s not hurling. People give out about Limerick, there’s a reason Kilkenny greats love Limerick, they played the same hard hurling and deserved everything they won

Ger and Micheal. Please make a stand and save our great game. The enjoyment is so sporadic now in a game of hurling. Winning a contest ball is nearly gone out of the game bar a mis hit to the square. Thank God Tommy Walsh hurled in his era. Game of frees, short puck outs and hand passes. Turning into a slow pedestrian possession based game with little excitement and it's only going one way. Never would I make a cup of tea in the middle of championship match. That's changing. Something has to give. The hand pass is not a skill when's it's played backwards or sideways out of the hand to a man 3 meters away. Dj or an Eddie hand pass on the run to make a score is a skill of the highest quality.
We are in denial about our beloved game. More foot in football that there is a hurl in hurling. Put them all into a box and beat the heads of each other hand passing. We laughed at the ould lads preaching ground hurling and over head striking but they were skills and enjoyable to watch. They will end up being fully right.

Unfortunately Hurling has been regulated for safety reasons, how can you have overhead pulling and ground hurling when they put in a rule any contact with the Helmet is a Red card, take the throw in 30 years ago Hurleys would break now the players are on their knees trying to get Possesion, by the way experts call it evolution of the Game

Hand passing has become far more prominent with teams looking to keep possession. To be fair you couldn't even call it a hand pass, more a throw. Soccer tactic books infiltrated football now we hurlers are playing copy cat.

Dan. In all fairness when young hurlers look at videos of games from the the Eighties/Nineties they are amazed at how poor the skill levels were then and I, a 73 year, absolutely agree with them. Three and four attempts being made by lads to pick up a ball when often all alone, hardly any first touch. Full backs and goalies belting the sliotar down the field without making any serious attempt to find their man. Do really think Doyle, Maher and Carey would make up the dominant Full Back line now that they made up in the sixties. Forgive me but I think they would not those last five minutes now days and with the really dirty pulls they applied to opposition players they would be very soon banned permanently from the game.
Dan, what was so wrong with any of the Munster games last year or indeed the LK/GY game or the Final. I can remember absolutely absolutely boring Finals as far as '64 and '65, '74 and '08, but they were boring because the most brilliant of the day was sweeping aside the opposition in the same Limerick way did in '20 and '21.
If any team think they can win an All Ireland, in this day and age with first time overhead and ground pulling I think they are mad
