I really love and appreciate how honest and kind you are. I don't know you in person, but really bonded a lot through your content. I understand your saying how we don't appreciate our life enough for what the cards are given to us. History of your family inspired me thinking that we could do more in this single life if we really tried. I love your content so much. Keep working towards your goal. Wish you be a successful content creator and entrepreneur. ❤😊

@@joyfullencounters This is a hard question because I love so many of your videos 🤣. If I have to pick one, I’d choose your most popular video, as it’s the one that introduced me to your channel :)) Your videos always leave me deep in thought, and I admire your bravery-few people have the courage to do what you do.
But this video is special because I relate to your story on a personal level. My grandparents on both sides lost everything after the Vietnam War. Incredibly, my parents became dentists in Sai Gon through sheer determination. And here I am in my early 20s, striving to make the most of the opportunities forged from the sweat and tears of my previous generations.

yea it took me a long time to realize and genuinely internalize that where i am now is a result of the sweat and tears of previous generations, and that really puts things into perspective :)

Very compelling video Joy. It takes a lot to be vulnerable in front of a camera let alone post it! I'm very happy for you and know you will succeed and create the life you deserve! I am so excited to watch it all unfold as you grow! :)

Wow, it takes a lot of courage to share our vulnerable side, especially in public no less.
I have thought about what-ifs and possibilities a lot and I have some events in my life where I’ve missed the timing or hesitated for too long and delayed too much before regretting it later on.
I believe that it’s best to always try and explore and discover unknowns, address the questions and curiosity with answers, so you don’t just think or leave yourself wondering. Use your experience and your unique journey in life to satisfy that curiosity and all those what-ifs, because we can never predict or know the future far enough or accurately enough, whether it be in your own health, world politics, environmental or something closer to you or your family or your home. No matter what life’s next turn throws at you, always make it your mission to find yourself at a point where you’re living for the here and now and being in a state of being happy with the routes and decisions that you make, even the mistakes that you may experience along the way.
There’s no wrong way to live your life but there’s always more things to do in life than the amount of time there is.
Some things can only best be done now, so why not do what you want and make more memories that you enjoy.
Obviously there’s always pros and cons and risks and consequences, but time is always moving forward, so why not use the time in a way that makes it worth it for you. Don’t let it just slip by, as you won’t be able to take the time back.
That’s my two cents of thoughts! 💭
Sorry, looks like I might have went on a tangent and wrote a bit much but tldr, I believe that it’s very admirable and courageous of you to take that leap of faith and take on a calculated risk (for 2 years to experiment and) to pursue a life of purpose that you empower yourself with your choices rather than let your circumstances or challenges define you. :)

thank youuu :-) and also for your two cents. i believe there is more to do in life than the time there is for sure, and that's why we ought to make space for the things that matter most to us
