  • When Sundray Tucker left the FLOS in 1996, the girls were still looking for a 3rd Member.
So Jean returned briefly, to do some shows with them at Industry Cafe in Los Angeles. Freda Payne (Scherrie's sister) and Cindy Birdsong were there!

I'm sorry Wellsley but your description for this video is not correct. This show was for the FLOS (Lynda, Scherrie and Jean) legal defense fund, as they were being sued. Sundray Tucker was still in the group when this show was performed. Jean came back just to do the two shows that night at the Industry Cafe because she was named as part of the law suit. Ironically, this would be the very last time she would have anything to do with the FLOS. That's why Jean is singing with them here.

Jean was magical even... in the 90's....she had charisma, style, talent and charm. it was a true group of Former ladies...This group should have stopped being a Supremes tribute when Jean left. Jean sounded good on some of the 60's hits, as did Scherrie... Lynda is not a good lead singer for any of these Supremes cuts. Her style is entirely too uncontrolled and wailiing for the older material...she did some excellent original lead vocals on the Motorcity label...Hit and Miss, Living With a Married Man, If This World Were Mine...even her lead on Love Child that was recorded in the studio...all very good...these DR songs just weren't her forte for concert singing....of course the hidden Gem in the Motorcity stuff is the duet with the Originals BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND...that one deserved to be a hit here in the USA.

Mr Gordon really shat the bed with his complete and utter mismanagement of all his Motown goldmines. He took voices of generations and one of a kind talents and the place where dreams were born and turned it into a complete and utter shitshow.
