While it’s better than throwing the poor dog out of the car on a road etc it’s disgraceful and I’m baffled at so many people saying how much they loved this poor little guy. If they loved the dog and were good honest caring people in a terrible situation then they’d have brought the dog INSIDE so it was not cold and scared alone in the dark outside. Animals are terrified enough being dumped at pounds so you can imagine being dumped outside alone at night. I don’t understand how one person can praise the owner. I am poor and I am disabled. I had to rehome animals in my life time and I searched for loving homes for them. An animal is far more loyal to humans than humans are to one another and should be treated far better than they are. I’ve rescued Many from heart breaking abuse. I was taught compassion for animals from my mother and grandmother who rescued animals. Sadly many humans do not deserve a loving animal and the loyalty they give. People can learn so much from animals. If we treated each other like our dog treats us the world would be far more beautiful 😢
People need to stop breeding dogs. They should make a law against breeders. There are too many unwanted dogs out there we don’t need anymore. It’s not fair to them they’re the ones suffering and they don’t understand why. It’s all about the almighty dollar. And it is not fair or humane.
These people don’t need to be arrested. They should’ve brought the dog to the Humane Society not just tied them up and left a note that is irresponsible.

I suspect that they could not afford to pay the surrender fee
Because in most cases they won't accept animals without a fee and wait period. It's called greed and it's destroying animal rescue incentives.
@@geralddavidcoleson3199 I don't think it's greed, it takes money to feed and care for the animals in there care. Donations just aren't enough.
If only all people cared this much
I feel there should be a law landlords should have to allows dogs and cats. so many people and animals go through major stress or even die because landlords say they don't allow pets. That is what a PET DEPOSIT is for.
Get an ESA letter from your doctor describing your anxiety issues that require you to have an ESA. They will wave those fees under the ADA.
And at Christmas... I feel so bad for this family, and for their boy.. although he will be fine and will love his new owners he will also always always love his first family.
Did the previous owners leave any contact numbers or something? Perhaps the shelter can keep / take care of the dog (for Armando's family) while they get through what they need to get through. ❤ To Armando's previous owners and family - I hope things will work out. Bless all of you. Thank you for loving Armando ❤
Once you abandon a pet, it is no longer yours. No, the shelter is not a pet sitting service.
That's like saying that due to unforeseen circumstances, you have to give up your child. Just...no. A lot of people got pets during quarantine and are using feeble excuses to get rid of them now. I can't even imagine the sadness and complete confusion these poor animals feel in the shelters. It just breaks my heart.
Pets =/= children. Stop anthropomorphizing them. They live in the moment, and don't experience "confusion" like an abandoned child would.
@@sonyaj66 That's utterly ridiculous. Anyone who knows anything about pets is aware that they form loving bonds, suffer from separation anxiety, and feel fear. My suggestion to you is never keep dogs. You would make a terrible owner.
@@sonyaj66: You’re wrong. Dogs, like humans and all sentient animals, survive in the moment but they never forget and they do experience all kinds of emotional behaviors including confusion especially during sudden circumstantial changes later in life.
@@sonyaj66 Nonsense, that is a completely idiotic statement that animals do not experience confusion.
Times are hard, things change and bad things happen, stop judging his original family for doing what they thought was best for everyone unless you're willing to go out here and help pay for the food and veterinary bills of people with pets who are struggling financially. Otherwise you are sitting on a high horse and being judgmental.
🎯
And pride goes before a fall and you wind up in a situation comparable to those who you judged.
NAPOLEON's quote on pets: """ one who does not have a pet, is missing a part of his/her soul """
I’m lucky I have my mom. I got laid off and I have a 4 month old golden. It’s time for her checkup, heartworm, rabies shot and registration. We got 70 pounds of food for Xmas and orientation for my job isn’t for two weeks. When she pooped worms, I didn’t have the 70 bucks for the pills. Nanna came through.
Veterinarians bills have gotten completely astronomical and just ridiculous in what is being charged now even for small things😢😢😢😢😢
Ok Mr trump how can you help these pets
Help me to help these loving pets it not there fault
You are a wonderful man with a heart of gold i think the world of you
It's called greed.
Remember folks, pets will make you so very happy, and make you live longer too ! ... FACT !
Thank you to all humane society and more. (All the workers paid and volunteers.
Pet food is so very expensive. Not to mention vet care. We should be able to take them as dependents on our taxes
It's a choice to own a pet. Not a must.
Thank you sweet Jesus! 🙏
The food bank called. Human beings need help more.
@@kell_checks_inNo food bank is going to get pissy over a dog finding a new home
If vet care, food & everything else wasn’t so expensive people could keep their pets. My dogs last yearly exam and vaccines was almost $300. Vets are more expensive than doctors!
What made you believe you needed any of that from a vet? I stopped vax$ins on my babies years ago. It's bad for them but vets don't care because they are greedy just like so-called medical pros.
dr. care really soared it breaks so many hearts. shame on society . I had to find homes for mine after husband died. I was lucky to be able to. But still worry how they are.
Appreciate this pet parent no abandoning the dog. Really wish people would understand that animals are family and if you can’t take care of them don’t get them. I understand that stuff may happen to change a family situation but try to find them a home with other family or friends before you get rid of them.
I'm so happy he was adopted so soon❤, but my heart breaks for the family that had to surrender him. As you can tell by the note it was done out of love and I'm sure they are grieving heavily over this. I pray things work out for this family and some day they are where they can adopt another pet for a lifetime.
Maybe if vet prices weren’t so high mb people could afford to own them
vets are only needed in emergency cases, and to be spayed, they do not need all these shots, its a massive scam
Thank you
Well, at least they didn't just leave him in a random street somewhere...
I am happy to hear this but so many shelters are turning away people who are desperate.
This would kill me, I just couldn’t give up my baby. 🐕 The owners must have been heartbroken. 😢 I am so glad he found a home so soon!
It is so sad for the owners. We have the same situation here in Australia the world has certainly changed since the Covid Pandemic
So happy Armando❤🙏 you got love and a home. God bless you Armando with health and joy AND to the family who 2:19 took him in you all are wonderful human beings.🙏 God bless the humane society.🙏 May 2025 be filled with health and happiness and hope for you all and to mankind everywhere. Hearing the statistics is very upsetting but those involved in these helpless animals' rescue applause!
🙏
I really do think that there should be adorable vet care for pets it's just ridiculous how expensive it is we should also be able to claim them as dependent on our tax returns
So sad...there is always help out there if one really wants to seek it.
I'm happy he found a good home. My heart aches as well for the family who obviously didn't want to do this. Sadly the shelters fill up year round but especially after the holidays when people don't think things through and decide gifting someone a pet is a good idea. You can't adopt a pet just on the cuteness factor. What are the breeds needs etc
Thank you...
And the reason they left him tied up? I will guess they couldnt afford to pay the intake fee... The Animal care centers will tell you not to bring them in. I think they did what they could.. thinking at least he would be given a chance there ..
Don’t leave pet tied up outside shelter! Leave with pet shelter employees during hours!
Agreed. I understand having to give him up but not tied outside. Anything could have happened to him.
@@susanc.8009 the pound charge a surrender fee and there’s a waiting period so I guess they were avoiding that
@@kristyx8379 I am not aware of shelters charging a surrender fee-maybe the city pound does.
@ a couple of people have mentioned it in their comments on here and a couple of people I follow on here have mentioned it before so some definitely do.
Dog food is soooo expensive now and Vetenenary Expenses are above what most people can pay! I am so happy Armando found a new family so quickly! Not everyone wants to give up their furbabies.
Many people are going homeless. That's why.
This breaks my heart!!! I know that sometime a family has No other choice, I just feel so Sad for the family losing their best friend , + the dog who doesn't know that it didn't do anything wrong!!!
Americans spend nearly $1T each Christmas .. which would END world hunger for 3 + years, globally. If this family member was abandoned due to $, while purchasing unneeded "Christmas gifts" they should be ashamed.
Sad. I'm glad he found a good home. Wish EVERY SHELTER ANIMAL WOULD!
Heart breaking . Couldn't even imagine giving up my pet under the worst circumstances . He is my child. Nothing more need be said . But I am trying to understand why many do it .
This is horrible. Poor kid..a-hole parents. This child will be forever traumatized.
If u have a pet then u are responsible for the care, medical expenses and love for the animals lifetime.
That's not how the real world works.
I can imagine the heartbreak behind this. I am a fur mommy. And if I had to give up any of my animals, I think my heart may give up
Did they leave any other family members behind, Grandma, Grandpa, children? Just asking.
I would rather skip meals and make sure my pets eat 😢😢😢
Always adopt, never shop!!
😢😢😢so heartbreaking 💔
If you sneeze at the vet its a cpl hundred.
That is so heartbreaking :(
Amen to that one 🙏
does anyone have pet insurance ? if so, is it worth it ?
Wow, he found a home I give horner to the family although they don't take Armando into the shelter they knew he would be found this is a very sad story but with a good ending on Christmas 🎄 eve Armando wishing you blessings and a very happy new year to the family that had to give him up do me a favor don't get another Dog I was homeless and kept my dogs in the car with me God blessed people with Dogs we now have a beautiful condo never ever could I leave them but that's me people, places and things aren't me that's why I ❤ love Dogs better than people. Congratulations baby I pray you love your new home and we're left in the cold too long 😂❤🐾 happy new year 🎉
This is to Death Due Us Part. They are family and I am happy to new owners not always happens.
I work as a volunteer at a shelter and this happens every so often.
I blame greediness who raises highest tax and they cant afford it…
It’s hard to buy Food, and care for them but I’m still holding on taking care for my Pets.
Armando❤❤❤
GLAD FOUND FOREVER HOME
This story breaks my heart. This shouldn't be happening. I have written a document that gives my pets to my son if something ever happens to me and I can't take care of them properly.😢
I'm on cloud 9 that lab got home
I think it was disgusting and cowardly to tie the dog up with a note ! Shame on them ! If they cared as much as people are saying they would have brought the poor dog in during the day ! They are dirtbags for doing it at night give me a break please ! Someone who really cares about their dog would NEVER tie it up at night outside of the place I’m outraged at these people.
Things are going turn . .
. For the good in America . . .
For pet and pet owners to stay faithful and together
You can't tell me vets are affordable.. that's a lie lol.
People need to stop breeding dogs. They should make a law against breeders. There are too many unwanted dogs out there we don’t need anymore. It’s not fair to them they’re the ones suffering and they don’t understand why. It’s all about the almighty dollar. And it is not fair or humane.
BS! If they loved him they would’ve done it face 2 face! Don’t buy the “sorry” note
These people don’t need to be arrested. They should’ve brought the dog to the Humane Society not just tied them up and left a note that is irresponsible.
♥️🙏♥️
Could you PLEASE PLEASE look into a “shelter” in Kingman AZ called Mutt Matchers. There are dozens of dogs left unattended for days. The supposed rescue was closed down however these poor dogs are still locked in there.
Happy ending for this one 😢🙏😻😻😻
Yay!!!!❤❤❤
Tears
Why …. People always doing stupid thing to animals specially on Winter
When you know you cannot afford a pet DO NOT get one! Consider the feelings of the pet you are leaving behind😢
Genius, maybe the could afford it when they got it... ever think about that peanut brain?
So life doesn’t happen to ppl? You can have it ALL today and lost it all in a blink of an eye.
