She hated herself cos her sick mother abused her as a child. She thought fame would get her the attention and love she craved. It didn't work out that way. She took pills but probably needed therapy. So sad. Bless her soul.

Yes, it's a tool and a coping strategy, a mask to get out of being asked anymore probing question that may undo a vision she has from the public. I've witnessed others do this, she was truly, severely depressed. I felt that laugh like a hit in the gut. Even if she had had the best emotional support system in place, so many things that were traumatic happened in her youth... I wouldn't be surprised if she had PTSD from her treatment in foster care.. no one wanted to foster her after the sexual abuse claim against one of her foster dad's... She must've had quite the driving force to continue after that, and be the success she became... I heard somewhere she's either the 2nd or 3rd most recognizable faces in the world. Unfortunately, at this point in her life, it may not have meant much, ..
She sounded a lovely lovely woman 👩 and got caught up in a dark greasy satanic elite. She was probably going to be a whistle blower, and if that’s the case she would have been one of the early ones.
Saw an interview with Arthur Miller and he was asked about her intellect, he was kind,but never said she was intelligent, got the impression she wasn't a great thinker, but also not stupid. When you listen to her speak,very average, and somewhat convoluted when it comes to expressing herself.
Right but she did get tons of plastic surgery and made a career based on her sex appeal, so... it doesn’t mean she isn’t entitled to her feelings but she did choose the life she lived.
@@liv4514 maybe she wasn't sure what she wanted at that time, directors to use women like this to have their way around, it happens a lot in my country and by the time they understand that people dont watch their movies for their acting, they are already oversexualized.
When someone laughs, while saying something so serious it implies that they are not done with their pain and it continues to remain as an unresolved issue in their subconscious. It is one of the coping mechanisms of our brain to prevent outbursts at places where it would be rather inappropriate to do so.
It's funny because I am also an introvert person and I did a singing casting twice. And when I finish my degree I would like to become an actress and a film director. Is my dream since I was 15 years old
This is why I hate the movie blonde. They basically portrayed her in the worst way. Made her so naive, empty, sad, exploited. If you hear her in interviews she is so well spoken and serious and when it gets too serious she’ll lighten it up as she does. But it just shows that in her private life she was a lot more real and people just chose to see her for the persona she gave Hollywood.
Especially the scene with the little girl running around without clothes after her mom tried to drown her. Seems like Hollywood just wanted to exploit a small child to me..... I hated that movie, it was so gross on many different levels

She wouldn't be nearly as admired if her story didn't end so tragically. Unfortunately, we don't pay respect to legends who live long almost at all, it seems to me that we celebrate only the ones who die soon.

@@thomasjust2663 when somebody likes to be alone, it doesn't necessarily mean they don't want anyone to be there for them ever - especially in their darkest hour. being alone and being lonely are two different things.
@@thomasjust2663 yes a lot of us introverts say that but doesn't mean we don't want love or company when we are in need of it... Just cause we feel we function better alone doesn't mean we always want to be alone, everyone gets lonely and sadly she ended up lonely more than just being alone.
She was abused by her mother, sexually abused as a child and throughout her life, and had horrible marriages with men who didnt seem to love her. I doubt she ever knew what it was to be truly loved in her lifetime. So heartbreaking.
@Nick Hord no, women aren't perfect and she certainly wasn't, but being sexually abused and exploited as a young girl by a grown man/men is unquestionably the men's fault and can horribly mess a young girl up and scar her for life.
So, she was actually an introvert. Interesting. I respect that, as an introvert myself, I understand exactly what she’s talking about. There’s a peace in solitude, and introverts need that peaceful solitude in order to have enough energy to be engaged with others when they need to be. There’s a lot of us. I have comfort being with my introverted friends and family members- sometimes being with them is being in the same location, each of us comfortably in our own thoughts, while still being together. Sometimes the people we introverts appreciate the most are the ones we can sit near in a mutually comfortable silence.
I feel like I really struggle in my work, because it kind of demands that I be social. It's not natural to me at all though and I thought I was working towards my dream job and now I don't know. My partner is super social, and I sometimes feel like such a wallflower when we go out to do things. I don't even think it's because I'm not interesting - I think I'm a pretty cool person, I do lots of things, I don't THINK I have self esteem issues but when I get dragged around and people tell me to "open up" or "lighten up" when I'm just being my normal, quiet, self - I feel like there's something wrong with ME. I went to a bar with my boyfriend and I just sat in the corner and doodled and worked on my portfolio, which you'd think would be a little sad BUT it was actually kind of nice to be around people but not to engage with the people? I hope that makes sense, I think you expressed that last bit perfectly, sometimes it's nice to sit quietly with other people.
Sometimes, an intrusion upon our introversion feels like a act of violence. if we know something - or someone - important is going to call, the anxious preparation for it can be mentally exhausting and you feel drained afterwards - and the presence of the other people/person still feels as if they are there with you as the after-processing perpetuates until finally it lifts off.

You're given a tool with which you believe that you can thrive, but the situation is imperfect, some might say, can never be pefect. I'm a fine artist. Started making use of skills that I built up. Tried to build up a name for delivering sound, creative work that people wanted, in a wide variety of styles, but also having my own distinctive style that was wanted. i ended up being a sole carer for most of my life, that duty of care lifted recently, but I've developed a tremor. I didn't see that one coming. If only we could have it all written out as a script and when it comes to a bit we don't like, we could say "Hey, I don't like this bit. I want a rewrite!" Thing is; those of us with introverted and emotional sensitivities have the potential to create art that people can attach to, and sometimes in a big way. However, the personality is such that the intense public exposure made possible can rip the artist apart. Even worse if the 'artwork' is themselves and that has more potential to rip the person apart.
@@josefschiltz2192 Marilyn Monroe liked attention, therefore wasn't an introvert. Feeling drained around all that energy is normal. The type of attention she received would drain a normal human being. We're only human and we all need to eventually decompress.
Her childhood was so sad. She was unloved and passed around between foster homes. Then grabbed up by Hollywood. Makes sense she was unhappy. She seems so vulnerable.
Misery loves company, so honestly I can’t blame him. It’s terrible that she and others feel that way, but as someone with MDD who’s also in that group, I laughed too.

@Fianna You can be an introvert and still crave fame and attention. It just wears you down faster. Introversion / Extroversion Is about how we process and react to inner vs external stimuli. Not about whether we crave fame or attention. The majority of artists, scientists, and authors are introverted. Do you think none of them crave fame?
My heart will never not break for Norma Jeane. That poor woman had such a nightmare of a life and is still being massively disrespected in death. She didn’t even get to be buried where she wanted. Men owned her until the very end and after the end. Fame certainly is not what most people think it is.

Damian Lopez but at least they are not as faked... Marilyn had to change her name and her way of speaking in order to sound feminine and sexy. No wonder she was miserable.
She and Michael Jackson sound so much alike not only in the tone of their voice but in the life they lead and how they fooled the world. They were both much smarter and aware than people gave them credit for. Both empathic, sensitive and caring used by others.

The saddest part for me is how she laughs her comment of being generally miserable off. Like it's nothing. What hurts even more is that the interviewer just laughs with her.

True...I felt like I could "feel" her thinking it through as she spoke. Marilyn was so unfairly misunderstood by the ppl close to her in life..they wanted the "screen" Marilyn all the time, not the deep intellectual lady. She absolutely right here.. one must have those alone moments to survive..I know I do. I love mine. It's said that the most intelligent ppl in the world were ppl who were happy and comfortable being alone with oneself. You learn a lot of yourself and of others by being alone. It's a bullshit question. A human has a whole range of emotions. Happy is one of them and is fleeting. It is not a state of being like some people like to think.

She was an introvert. I love how she just talks truthfully. Being alone does not equal being lonely. Introverts need alone time to recharge, to think straight.
I think that she got ruined by those tons of psychiatrists who talked her into problems and (worst of all) gave her medication that made her dependent.. MM is the most famous victim of the pharmaceutical industry. You don't have to dig deeper to find the real reason!
well it depends... of course it was terrible that her mother had to put her into foster homes BUT the Bolender's seemed to be nice people and her aunt Ana was a nice and loving person, so was Grace Goddard! She was in fact surrounded by people who loved her... as I said before: the trouble started later, when they drugged her and made her addicted to certain persons..
I read the book of relatives of MM (MM Unveiled, a family history), Jason Kennedy. She was sent into orphanage only from september 13 1935 to June 21 1936, taken from the courts by Grace. It was a high profile orphans home in 1932.
I meant to say after June 1936 no more payments were made to the orphan home. Her family loved her indeed. Hollywood wanted to exaggerate the orphan story and MM took part in this herself for what reason whatever.
Such a beautiful soul with such depth. That depth likely came from the considerable suffering she’d endured throughout her life. She’s so intelligent & introspective & clearly a natural introvert. She really had it all: beauty, brains, kindness & emotional depth. Even so, the demons from her past plus toxic relationships, sleep deprivation, drug use & depression all dragged her down. No OH star remains as well loved today as Marilyn. People just adore her & that includes me!
i think it’s because she didn’t want to completely expose the fact that being famous isn’t super glamorous, it’s actually quite sad and depressing. she might’ve felt suicidal or extremely depressed and didn’t want people to know for the sake of her image, so she made her misery sound lighter than it was

When she anxiously laughed at @1:15 after saying she was "generally miserable" speaks volumes. I totally feel that; when you're depressed but you have to hide behind a smile/laugh so no one is suspicious :( It is sad how so many people still feel that way & joke it off like it is nothing
True-- I'm Bipolar--I felt like that. However times have changed and so have I. I'm no longer embarrassed or afraid to tell people. Because someone I saw as successful, physically strong, and looked like he had the world in his hands, he revealed he suffers from depression, that gave me lift and aided in my perspective about my condition. It made me not feel like an out cast, it gave me hope, and most importantly is that you truly are not alone. I'm more open because of this now in hopes of providing the same support to someone out there. Inner peace and kindness to self 🙏🙏 be with us all.

She's very honest and self aware. All that time by yourself with your own thoughts allows for deep self analysis. Unfortunately that doesn't mean it will bring happiness. Often it brings the exact opposite.

Sindhu V I’ve seen her typed as so many different types tbh. I doubt she was an ESFP naturally. I feel like ESFP reflected her face she put on to keep her name in the public (making appearances, parties, etc). I think she was truly an introvert or at least ambivert but never a full on extrovert. Her interviews reflect that introvert/ambivert trait. I do agree with the sensing part tho. She definitely seems more of a sensor than a feeler.
There is on the Myers Briggs Personality. She could be the "Care Giver" or "artist" personality Which personality type was Marilyn Monroe? Marilyn Monroe was an ISFP personality type. She was sensual and creative, often thinking outside the box, particularly when it came to artistic pursuits.

I feel so much for this woman, she earned her title as an icon but she was still so deeply sad and lonely…and handled it with grace and honesty. She seemed smart. I hope she is resting easy
It's a wierd thought, I've been thinking alot about her after first reading about her story, and have lost a lot of sleep to it. I can't help feeling so sad at how much someone can suffer, it's unimaginable how much she went through and yet still managed to live so long. I recognise that I can never truly understand how she felt, and her thought process but I've tried my best and it leaves me crying every time, to imagine someone who lived such a life and had such a tragic end. I suppose the only word that can really describe her life is the word "Tragic". I'm personally atheistic, but I can't help but hope that she could find peace somewhere else, the thought of her life being so tragic and ending in such a way leaves me feeling despair. I suppose not all stories have a happy ending, and that is a terrifying thought for me. I suppose her life raises questions within me about my own mortality and well being. Rest in peace, Marilyn
I relate to her on so many levels. A poem by Shel Silverstein explains it very well. I think Marilyn would have understood this poem all too well. "Underface" Underneath my outside face There's a face that none can see. A little less smiley, A little less sure, But a whole lot more like me
A transgender. Marilyn was a man who never quite perfected the female voice, just like Hepburn, Bacall, Crawford, Jackie, kardashian, etc. That fake, dragged out, trying to sound like a little girl, annoying voice.
This made me so sad! How many people out there feel this way?! I bet many... sometimes we see people and we think that they are perfect and have a perfect life, but no one does. Treat each other with respect and treat others as you would like to be treated.
I can relate to Marilyn on so many levels. I know exactly how she felt because I feel the same way. "Generally miserable" is something i'm sure of and know all too well. At the risk of sounding conceited or vain, I actually had someone tell me once that i'm "too pretty to be depressed" and they thought that "beautiful people" never had bad days. I was floored! Or, if I show my true emotions i'm accused of being a "drama queen" . these ridiculous assumptions that my life must be perfect based solely on the way I look, couldn't be farther than the truth. I wish I had days like people think I do.
When you are a really shy guy or Girl, its not easy to handle a public life... everybody think you are arrogant ... or bitchy but the true is you feel lonely... and to scraed to tell it someone.... In my twenties People called me handsome and working in public... was really taff for me. Often thinking about to kill myself. Happy I have a Office job now...😊

Gary Williams Well ... perhaps, but her main reason for going was to improve upon her acting. I forget his name, Lee Strasberg? He suggested he see a psychiatrist to bring out her emotions better when in acting class, it seemed to have worked against her in the long run. Not only did Doctor Greene made her expose her fears and suppressed traumas, he was obsessed with her.

You could still see the sadness in her eyes. I did some research and was pleasantly surprised that she was very good friends with beautiful black actress Dorothy Dandridge. Sadly they both died of the same circumstances.
And she helped Ella Fitzgerald with her career. She told the place where Ella was singing that they have to make her sing and if they do she will sit at the front table every evenings which she did :)
Hearing this interview of Marilyn Monroe makes me feel sad. She went through a lot of pain and yet she hides it with a smile. Poor Marilyn didn’t deserve any of this trauma😢
She finally realized that fame was not the answer to the incurable pain of her dysfunctional childhood. Too bad Marilyn never had one good friend. Just one.
She desperately needed to find those missing pieces of her unmet needs from her childhood. But only God couldve made that happen for her. And unfortunately Marilyn became an atheist and Jane Russell invited her to get with the Lord but she turned her down. Biggest mistake of her life.

Women are abused when they haven’t mastered the art of discernment. It was well know that she would ask men for permission to do just about anything and everything such as getting out of bed. This played well to have men wrapped around her finger but it’s my belief she was too trusting of every man and wasn’t discerning enough. Something all women should be aware of and master.
well, I think in her case beauty, fame did bring her happiness. she clearly enjoys her beauty and fame. she didn't care about money. and she wasn't a happy person because she didn't have a good relationship or family. but it's not fair to say beauty and fame didn't make her happy. if it wasn't for those, she'd probably end up in a mental hospital like her mother.
You can just hear it in her voice how sad she truly was. I can somewhat relate to her trying to be happy but i think in a way like me she was seen as sociable and always cheery. Always afraid to be yourself for fear of being rejected. I only hope that those who are going through this have at least that one person in their life they can share with to help them and assure them that they mean something to someone not because of money or fame but just as another soul living this tough life.
It's even harder when people always compare her and put her down in comparison to Audrey Hepburn. They call her a whore, a drug addict, and crazy. Yes she did do shady things, but she was a very tragic, very broken person who was truly special. I hope she finally found peace. Society is fucked up...

I totally get the solitude part. I'm an extrovert around people and quite expressive, but I prefer to be by myself. There's so much peace and joy when I'm alone in my room reading and writing.
That means youre an introvert. Behaving a certain way means nothing. You can be moody and quiet and be an extravert too. It simply depends where you get your energy from - from being around people or alone
She had stylists.. back in the day they were under contract to appear in public in clothes selected for them... I don't think the "Happy Birthday Mr. President " was one of them. I love Marilyn. So vulnerable..so lost.

She was a prescription pill addict and her friends worried about her intake, which was about 14 pills a day. She made a lot of bad choices. She wasn't this poor little thing that nobody loved. That was fabricated.

Mapleseed He did seem to love her. But he loved her the way he wanted to. Not the way she needed to be loved. When he married her he expected her to be someone she wasn’t. He was attracted to her for her created image, then he didn’t like that other men still lusted after her. If you love someone you should love them for who they already are. There’s a difference between helping someone change and trying to make them change for your own needs.
she felt joyful while studying and working. she didn't know ANYTHING else aside from work. she was such and inspiring, hard working and talented woman. she had SO much potential. she definitely deserved a much more blissful life. she deserved to live.

Deva7 Personally, I thought it seemed more like she knew all of that, but she was never sure of everyone else. I think her greatest fear was disappointing people around her, so she pushed herself to be the best and she was the best, and she knew it, but I think she felt like she was still disappointing everyone else. I dunno, though.
So many people admire her for her looks, but I've always loved her because she was really articulate and talented in many different ways. And she was human with real emotions like anyone else. People don't realize how multidimensional she was.
When she said she's "generally miserable" she immediately followed it with a chuckle....that was her way of trying to cope with her state and hide her true pain and also make the interviewer a little more comfortable...I feel sad for her..really!

You can hear the sadness in her voice. Her childhood caused permanent damage. The loss of her mother to mental illness and numerous foster care caused life-long insecurities and negativity.
I would never understand why would people want to see other people show off their sadness or misfortunes... So they can relate to them? I'm nearly 70 years old and I'm still struggling to be really happy. Childhood trauma can play a big part in in it and back then Marilyn didn't get the help she needed to resolve those issues, just various pills. So sad she never had what she desperately longed for - a baby. She was a beautiful lady and not at all 'dumb' but exploited like so many women were then and still are.

I think she didn't know how to be loved and to love herself growing up like she did. She did know how to be adored as a sex symbol but only that. She had her problems but she fought really hard and worked on them through therapy. Too bad she got addicted to pills or else she would have survived.
As a former introvert, I can relate to her points. I love being alone sometimes because it gives me peace of mind and helps me be persistent with what I want to do by not going through convo distractions. How society in the 50s/60s viewed being alone is significantly different from the way we outlook it now. It's interesting yet saddening to see such insights of Marilyn dealing with these issues at that period where mental health is underestimated, no one at that time really cared about her on the inside but only through her looks :((
This interview really drives home the difference between being alone and lonely. You can be content and find happiness despite being alone. Or you can be surrounded by a million people and still feel lonely. 😞
From one introverted soul to another, I can hear her sadness. She wanted so desperately to be loved for herself, but like us all, she was too complex for that to be easy. People wanted to put her in a box and leave her there.

I’ve dealt with depression for many years and to the public I’m perfectly fine. I definitely wouldn’t tell an interviewer how I really feel. Except maybe one time, when I hit a very bad place, where I was being verbal about what I was going through with those I felt cared about me and might help. No one took it seriously. I was literally asking for help like we’re told we should, and nothing. Maybe this was a cry for help, maybe not.

Yes, it's a tool and a coping strategy, a mask to get out of being asked anymore probing question that may undo a vision she has from the public. I've witnessed others do this, she was truly, severely depressed. I felt that laugh like a hit in the gut. Even if she had had the best emotional support system in place, so many things that were traumatic happened in her youth... I wouldn't be surprised if she had PTSD from her treatment in foster care.. no one wanted to foster her after the sexual abuse claim against one of her foster dad's... She must've had quite the driving force to continue after that, and be the success she became... I heard somewhere she's either the 2nd or 3rd most recognizable faces in the world. Unfortunately, at this point in her life, it may not have meant much, ..

It is one of the coping mechanisms of our brain to prevent outbursts at places where it would be rather inappropriate to do so.

So, she was actually an introvert. Interesting. I respect that, as an introvert myself, I understand exactly what she’s talking about. There’s a peace in solitude, and introverts need that peaceful solitude in order to have enough energy to be engaged with others when they need to be. There’s a lot of us. I have comfort being with my introverted friends and family members- sometimes being with them is being in the same location, each of us comfortably in our own thoughts, while still being together. Sometimes the people we introverts appreciate the most are the ones we can sit near in a mutually comfortable silence.
I feel like I really struggle in my work, because it kind of demands that I be social. It's not natural to me at all though and I thought I was working towards my dream job and now I don't know. My partner is super social, and I sometimes feel like such a wallflower when we go out to do things. I don't even think it's because I'm not interesting - I think I'm a pretty cool person, I do lots of things, I don't THINK I have self esteem issues but when I get dragged around and people tell me to "open up" or "lighten up" when I'm just being my normal, quiet, self - I feel like there's something wrong with ME. I went to a bar with my boyfriend and I just sat in the corner and doodled and worked on my portfolio, which you'd think would be a little sad BUT it was actually kind of nice to be around people but not to engage with the people? I hope that makes sense, I think you expressed that last bit perfectly, sometimes it's nice to sit quietly with other people.
Sometimes, an intrusion upon our introversion feels like a act of violence. if we know something - or someone - important is going to call, the anxious preparation for it can be mentally exhausting and you feel drained afterwards - and the presence of the other people/person still feels as if they are there with you as the after-processing perpetuates until finally it lifts off.
And that's precisely why she manifested all that attention. And did everything possible to advance her name. That makes sense!

However, the personality is such that the intense public exposure made possible can rip the artist apart. Even worse if the 'artwork' is themselves and that has more potential to rip the person apart.

I read the book of relatives of MM (MM Unveiled, a family history), Jason Kennedy. She was sent into orphanage only from september 13 1935 to June 21 1936, taken from the courts by Grace. It was a high profile orphans home in 1932.
I meant to say after June 1936 no more payments were made to the orphan home. Her family loved her indeed. Hollywood wanted to exaggerate the orphan story and MM took part in this herself for what reason whatever.

Such a beautiful soul with such depth. That depth likely came from the considerable suffering she’d endured throughout her life. She’s so intelligent & introspective & clearly a natural introvert. She really had it all: beauty, brains, kindness & emotional depth. Even so, the demons from her past plus toxic relationships, sleep deprivation, drug use & depression all dragged her down. No OH star remains as well loved today as Marilyn. People just adore her & that includes me!

It made me not feel like an out cast, it gave me hope, and most importantly is that you truly are not alone. It's a wierd thought, I've been thinking alot about her after first reading about her story, and have lost a lot of sleep to it. I can't help feeling so sad at how much someone can suffer, it's unimaginable how much she went through and yet still managed to live so long. I recognise that I can never truly understand how she felt, and her thought process but I've tried my best and it leaves me crying every time, to imagine someone who lived such a life and had such a tragic end. I suppose the only word that can really describe her life is the word "Tragic". I'm personally atheistic, but I can't help but hope that she could find peace somewhere else, the thought of her life being so tragic and ending in such a way leaves me feeling despair.
I suppose not all stories have a happy ending, and that is a terrifying thought for me. I suppose her life raises questions within me about my own mortality and well being.

This made me so sad! How many people out there feel this way?! I bet many... sometimes we see people and we think that they are perfect and have a perfect life, but no one does. Treat each other with respect and treat others as you would like to be treated.
I can relate to Marilyn on so many levels. I know exactly how she felt because I feel the same way. "Generally miserable" is something i'm sure of and know all too well. At the risk of sounding conceited or vain, I actually had someone tell me once that i'm "too pretty to be depressed" and they thought that "beautiful people" never had bad days. I was floored! Or, if I show my true emotions i'm accused of being a "drama queen" . these ridiculous assumptions that my life must be perfect based solely on the way I look, couldn't be farther than the truth. I wish I had days like people think I do.
When you are a really shy guy or Girl, its not easy to handle a public life... everybody think you are arrogant ... or bitchy but the true is you feel lonely... and to scraed to tell it someone.... In my twenties People called me handsome and working in public... was really taff for me. Often thinking about to kill myself. Happy I have a Office job now...😊

That means youre an introvert. Behaving a certain way means nothing. You can be moody and quiet and be an extravert too. It simply depends where you get your energy from - from being around people or alone

I'm nearly 70 years old and I'm still struggling to be really happy. Childhood trauma can play a big part in in it and back then Marilyn didn't get the help she needed to resolve those issues, just various pills. So sad she never had what she desperately longed for - a baby. She was a beautiful lady and not at all 'dumb' but exploited like so many women were then and still are.

I think she didn't know how to be loved and to love herself growing up like she did. She did know how to be adored as a sex symbol but only that. She had her problems but she fought really hard and worked on them through therapy. Too bad she got addicted to pills or else she would have survived.
As a former introvert, I can relate to her points. I love being alone sometimes because it gives me peace of mind and helps me be persistent with what I want to do by not going through convo distractions. How society in the 50s/60s viewed being alone is significantly different from the way we outlook it now. It's interesting yet saddening to see such insights of Marilyn dealing with these issues at that period where mental health is underestimated, no one at that time really cared about her on the inside but only through her looks :((

I love her voice here. It's so natural.
Deep and analytical. She had reached enough self awareness to see all this in herself and in human beings in general. She was a brave soul being also this generous and transparent about her thoughts and emotions. And yes you nailed it Marilyn, no one is generally happy in fact most are generally miserable just wouldn't dare to say it aloud if even to themselves. Life is anyhow not a constant bliss even if you d love being alive. The trick is to learn to observe and manage your, emotions, recognize your own needs and honor them. She seems to have been able to just that by accepting that thete are different sides to her and attend to her both extrovert and introvert needs the best of her ability. R. I. P Marilyn. ❤️🙏🌹
Yes I resonate with it to an extent, I am a believer of Jesus with him I am happy, yet I know I will never truly have peace until the day I die because the world is filled with darkness I won’t truly be able to not be In pain physically, mentally, and emotionally, until I go home to Jesus.

Oh my gosh... Her openess almost makes me cry. Very recognizable. My father, I never knew him... my mother, well I don't have words for our bond anymore. I like being alone too, I don't hate meeting up with people but I am rather alone. Just to process everything and to keep being in my own safe space. Which is dear to me.

That's a little hard to believe. I am sure there were lots of kind people back in the day who would have been willing to be her friend. But when you are caught up in the celebrity life it is easy to become cut off from most of society.
Not everyone shares your opinion who knew her. A famous makeup person said she was very calculating. So it depends on who you talk to.
Sylvia Carlson That makes me wonder if this is how she truly felt or if it was a ploy to make women relate to her and men want to rescue her. I’ve dealt with depression for many years and to the public I’m perfectly fine. I definitely wouldn’t tell an interviewer how I really feel. Except maybe one time, when I hit a very bad place, where I was being verbal about what I was going through with those I felt cared about me and might help. No one took it seriously. I was literally asking for help like we’re told we should, and nothing. Maybe this was a cry for help, maybe not.
