    "human equivalent of a beautiful sunrise in the middle of the day" makes no sense whatsoever but... it feels like a compliment, so I'm taking it as one.

      If the sun is rising in the middle of the day... what was illuminating the sky before that?
      Figured it out, most likely the moon heated to the surface tempeture of the sun.
      Lol
      Probably something enough to cause severe damage to earth in some way

    **POTENTIAL SPOILER**
    The Scarab for Steel Striders has some missile interceptors with launchers that pop out of the hull with a spin block, incorporating something like that to your tank could make the interceptor launchers on your craft look less derpy.

    • @Kevin-hx2ky
      @Kevin-hx2ky ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Changing them out for micro-missiles might be better too. They're less effective but there would be 16 of them going after enemy missiles.

    • @Kevin-hx2ky
      @Kevin-hx2ky ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And with spinblocks Lath could add some proper hatches that he can pop open on command. Would certainly make it more interesting

    I've said it before but it really is nice to see the from the depths series coming back cuz it just brings me back to that like 2014 time. When I watched all of your FTD and Robocraft videos all the damn time. On that note I also can't wait to see what happens with Robocraft 2 because at least a big part of me hopes that that brings back essentially everything that was good about the original Robocraft before all the updates that kind of ruined it and perhaps seeing all the things added and changed that back then everyone was asking for

    • @remor698
      @remor698 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      And you have just made me aware of the existence of Robocraft 2. I wasn't even aware Freejam still existed and so completely counted out the possibility of Robocraft ever making a return, so this is an incredible surprise to me.
      The direction it's headed in so far looks certainly interesting, though still really early in development, so here's hoping they don't mess up majorly again.

      Essentially every godly enemy has that, it's simply the meta against essentially everything, HESH, HEAT and Kinetic. Not sure about HE and Flak but they don't do a lot of damage against armour so it counters those as well. A layer of wood just before the slopes would especially ensure defeating HESH.

    If you want to maximize spawn frequency : avoid going through warp gates, and run around in circles as fast and as tightly as possible
    "There is a 5% chance to spawn an enemy for every 500 metres traveled (including moving vertically or in circles).
    A counter starts ticking up after 5 minutes in the warp plane. The longer the player spends in the warp plane and the less they have moved in the last hour in the warp plane, the faster the counter ticks. Enemies will spawn periodically on the counter.
    Therefore :
    To minimize spawn frequency, travel forwards until a warp gate appears, then go through that warp gate and repeat.
    To maximize spawn frequency, avoid going through warp gates, and run around in circles as fast and as tightly as possible."
    Taken from the FTD wiki.

    I love what you did with the missiles.
    First thing I thought of when I saw the hand missiles you made last video was "Oh man, Wallmaster missile! Rotate the hand so the missile is reaching out to grab the target!"
    (Second thing was "I cast FIST!")
    Slapping enemy missiles out of the sky is an excellent use of the model. Or maybe your interceptors work by offering up high-fives and the enemy missiles can't leave them hanging.

    This’d be considered as an articulated tank. One way to keep the articulation and not have it be detrimental would be to have them tilt opposite ways depending on if its in sled or tank mode. If they form a diamond, it should improve tank controls, while the prototype controls of the sled would be optimal for sled controls.

    I know this is an older video, but just wanted to say I am really enjoying the series. Whoever designed that last tank the 'Hexxor' did a great job. You can tell the author drew inspiration from the real life tank the 'Hetzer'. It was a German WWII anti-tank tank... that doesn't sound right but you know what I mean. As terrible as the war was, you can say one thing about German engineering; They know how to make engineering marvels. Just Google the Panzer VIII Maus (translation the 'Mouse") or The Landkreuzer P. 1000 "Ratte" (rough translation is the Land Cruiser). They both look like the FtD devs where German Engineers in a past life (from an engineering stand point I mean).
    Keep up the great quality vids, I have never played nor do I own From the Depths, but it is on my Steam wish list, primarily because of your videos. Cheers mate.

    Watching you videos got me into finally trying to build things in this game. Now after having played around with missiles until 3 am last night, I can recommend small laser guided fragmentation missiles as a secondary weapon. They easily take out flyers and if you have enough can get through a lot of armor.

    Put a docking station pointing upward on the turret, decorate it, doesn't matter if it's vulnerable.
    Design a simple detection/countermeasures blimp which to be held up pointing the direction of the turret - it doesn't need any movement, but an intra-vehicle transmitter.
    Release the docking station in every 7 seconds for one second.
    Have some repair-tentacles on both vehicles for funsies.
    Name suggestion: Komor Koodorgoo - it means Moody Wanderer (oo = say O for double time continouisly)

    If you want inspiration for landship designs, you can have a gander at Desert of Kharak, there's some good designs for tank treaded vehicles, as well as hover vehicles.

    Lathrix you need to make sure you’re making spaced armor. A lot of the late game crafts will penetrate nearly anything with conventional armor.

      Yup! Am using spaced armor especially around the turret. :)

      @@Lathland awesome!
      I also just had the thought: what if you made some TH-cam shorts out of clips for upcoming videos. You could make small ACB tutorial videos for instance. I personally would love to see how you made the engine prioritization system.

    "Greetings, you beautiful human equivalent to a beautiful sunrise... in the middle of the day, and welcome..." Well, that kind of sounds like we are the small minions of the eldritch sun god that decided its time for it to stretch a little, and now we have unexplainable by science, stretched sun. I don't dislike how that sounds.
    I love the FTD series so much, looking forwards to seeing more beautiful devastation! Ahem, anyways.

    Because of its ominous bulk, high damaging weapon, and literal "talk to the hand" interceptors, I think we should call this The Terminator, or 'Arnie' for short.

    That 8m shell railgun reminded me a lot of Pzkw V Panther and its long 75 ammunition with a really fast projectiles.
    Neat tool for piercing armor.
