I have terrible allergies and asthma as well. Getting an air purifier in my bedroom changed my life! I’m big on air purifiers as well, and own quite a few to say the least.. haha I have this LG & I love it for my living room due to its esthetics, smart features & noise level. It compliments my Coway Airmega 300s nicely which is on the other side of my house. The LG definitely isn’t great for the large spaces it’s supposedly recommended for since its CADR rating is something like 90CFM. It’s also not going to filter odors & gas as well as systems that have a nice thick layer of activated carbon pellets. That said, I love my LG for how I have it incorporated! Somehow my preface ended up much longer than I planned. LOL I made a comment because you asked why people would turn off the UV, it’s due to the potential of creating Ozone. I for one think both the harm & usefulness of UV light is overrated so I just leave mine on as well. If anyone wants a smart air purifier also check out Levoit, Coway, & even the Wyze air purifier is excellent for smaller spaces and combatting odors. Stay away from Rabbit, it’s over rated for the money. Anyways thanks for sharing! Sorry for the long comment 😂
