In this video I wire a DHT22 Temp and humidity sensor to an ESP 8266 board, configure and upload firmware to the ESP 8266 so we can view temp and humidity on the dashboard so stick around.

under 15 min, your video is great! thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it. I try to keep it to the information needed and not draw it out just to please algorithms.
Thank you for this lokanic video! It was very helpful!
You're very welcome!
Easy! Thanks!
You bet!
Woot subscriber 1K! Oh, thanks for the video. How about something on putting it in a case/mounting it. Those would be helpful.
Thanks for the Sub!!! Great idea for a video too.
Nice, so the home assistant can code the board directly ... where can I find the "library" (platform?) Like DHT to understand how many possibilities I can find and what programming level I can get
Nice video! Thanks for it! You may want to post the code in your comments so they are more easily read.
Thanks for the tip
I’m getting a fail needs to be in download mode message. Do you know what’s wrong?
Hi , can I use multi dht sensor on one ESP8266?
Yes you can
How's the battery life? If it's poor how are you getting around this with a larger battery housing?
I do not use a battery. I power it through the USB cable.
How do you get below zero in C presented on the dashboard?
You will have to modify the sketch, for reference www.home-assistant.io/blog/2015/10/11/measure-temperature-with-esp8266-and-report-to-mqtt/
overall what was the total cost? I'm seeing ESP8266 ESP-01 ESP-01S DHT11 Temperature Humidity Sensor Module ESP8266 from china for .86 USD. It's all in one package. Is this a good deal or is there something I'm missing?
I spent less than $10 for mine. As far as .86, watch out for shipping costs.
the dht board has a resistor
So a resistor is not needed? you mean? In this video the sensor is being used, not the board
