This video has aged nicely, with all the silver attention right now people are forgetting that if silver does skyrocket WHERE and how to sell a portion of it when that times come. Thank you for your knowledge!
I have 3 LCS near me. One of them sells stuff for way more than it’s worth. They sell eagles for $21. One of them has fair priced but doesn’t have very much of a selection. The third one is my favorite because he has a great selection and good prices too. Just gotta visit occasionally and build a good relationship. If I have to sell it will definitely be to the third shop
Practice selling now so when you need to you've got a good handle on it. "But I don't wanna sell my stack"! Don't have to downsize your stack just practice flipping a few coins.
I spent a long time walking for hrs, got alot of junk, nails, cans ect while metal detecting and was about to give up I found yet another small box of coins! My third one in the same field where at least one house was, maybe more at one time. One box had some really great condition Mogans, Mint CC and 12 little Queen Victoria little coins from the 1800's, ones where she's wearing a small crown & others with a larger crown, the backs both have a rider on a horse slaying a dragon. Then 1 German coin, small like the Queen coins from 1918. All great condition but I'm not sure if they're silver, or gold or a combo with the lighting in my apt., it's been raining now for a few days, will ck them in the sunshine, if we ever get any.
@@SilverDragons47 If you do some home work it can increase you're chances of finding something but you never know what you might find. If you get a metal detector make sure you get one that can also going in water. Good luck !
Shelton if the field was grassy it's my stack left it there years ago. Can I get my stack back. Again, it was a grassy field, that's the best I can describe it.
All great advice as always SB... Another thought is hitting up local estate sales experts to add your stack into an auction they are running... often sells at a premium and covers the commission and you can set a reserve price as a consignor...
Another great video my friend. As a new stacker its great to get advice on how to go about buying selling storage etc. Thanks for all the info and your efforts in giving back to the community and new stackers!!
Sell??? What is this “sell” you speak of? 😂😂😂 JK. Nice job. I understand the rationale, and can appreciate the need to think through the sale-side of the equation. Well done on the series, bro!! 👌🏼
right now in Edmonton Alberta Canada I will go buy a tube and instantly afterwards people will be showing up asking for silver and they'll be sold out. Silver is becoming harder to get for sure.
I have watched all 5 videos regarding Silver Stacking 101 its all informative with that said if you have a value of silver or gold over $1,000 you have to fill out a tax form. However if you buy War Nickels thats over $1,000 you don't have to pay any taxes. So should you stack or diversify between War Nickels, Gold and Silver?
I don't think you need to report your gold and silver unless you sell in the short term or sell over 40k worth of metals in the long term. Just hold onto your metals for over a year and unload them in an amount that doesn't put your income over that. You can also offset you capital gains with capital losses. Or just throw your metals into a SDIRA.
I've tried Facebook forums, they all want to buy at close to spot prices. Selling on eBay has been most satisfactory for me. Ive only sold on eBay when I've been offered a max £1 selling fee and I make it clear that the 4% PayPal fee is the buyers liability.
In another box was a bunch of Morgan Heads, no mint Mark so it's from Philly right? 13 are bright silver, maybe because they were wrapped up better. 12 are a bit tarnished but still in great condition, 28 in all. Someone must have been collecting them. Here's the dates of the shiney silvers. 1921, 1901, 1897, 1896, 1908, 1889, 1890, 1889, 1890, 1887, 1894, 1899, 1904, 1900, 1909, 1891, 1878, 1879. The others that are a bit tarnished but also in great condition are: 1885, 1886, 1888, 1884, 1898, 1899, two 1895s, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883. As Morgan's go are any of them good years or does it matter? I'm not looking to sell them, maybe they make books for Morgans where you could then collect them in the book (s)? I've found some odd coins here and there metal detecting but mostly American coins. Lately I've been finding alot of Morgan's in that field. I have a big blister on my heel but the hrs of detecting pay off. I'm just starting to get interested in coins and will have the ones I was told to get checked out...checked out and maybe take 1 or more to auction if all goes well. We can dream...huh😁
