The lead works better for me if it is all done as "PULL OFFS" starting at the 10th fret on the 1st string ---- Pull off at the 10th fret [3rd finger] = then pull off the 9th [second finger] = landing the note from the 9th to the 7th on your first finger = then carry that B note down from the 7th sliding down your 1st finger to the 5th fret onto the A note - then jump over to the B string and end with the last two notes on the B string at the 7th then the 5th of the B string - my two cents worth ;-) thanks for the video it helps a bunch!! Blessings, Bob~ *** EDIT *** .... well, at worship practice tonight I ended up slightly altering that idea. I kept the "pulls" on the high E string going from 10th to 9th to 7th, but then I changed it to adding a "hammer" on the 10th fret of the B string, then down to the 7th of the B string, and ending on the 9th of the G string - this worked out great! Doing the fingering in this manner enables me to play the notes really fast but with VERY little "effort" to make them ring out - the end result sounded just like the lead on the sound track IMO... just in case anyone is interested ;-) Bob~
That's a great way to play it as well. For those interested, what @rightfromtheheart is talking about is walking down the 1st position of the Minor Pentatonic scale (in this case, the Bm Pentatonic). The way I've taught in this tutorial is playing the lead part within the 4th position of the Bm Pentatonic scale. It's really up to the player which one feels the most natural - and also which one sounds better. Playing the notes on the E and B strings will sound different than playing them on the B and G strings. Thanks!
@@worshiptutorials Thanks again too, you are WAY more knowledgeable in guitar theory and scales than I am. I can only play by ear and don't know positions or scales or all that useful information - HA! We are doing this song in praise and worship this Sunday, and I had never heard before -love it! I needed the help! Thanks again :-)
I'm so thankful for these videos, I played lead at church for nine years but have not two. They asked me to fill in this Sunday. Funny thing is I just got a brand new bass I was going to play this Sunday but not just yet apparently.lol
He's using a Line 6 Helix so he has all the patches pre-programmed for each section. There would be a lot of pedal tap dancing going on to achieve the variety of tones he is playing here. I have a Line 6 Firehawk and I have a patch for intro and chorus that I dial in. You can still do it with a pedalboard it would be more difficult that's all.
A few videos back Bradford mentioned something about playing "diamonds." Is there a video where that concept is unpacked? If not, a video of that would be awesome.
On the chorus, why jump down to frets 7-8 for the G chord? You’ve got the same chord right there at the 12th fret with a simple bar. Economy of motion.
Hey Brian im really trying to get the notes you pick, play , pull up, but i cant get it :(, you happen to have time to send the notes you play on the lead for this song :) ?.
Hey Brian! I'm loving your electric tutorials. Just a sugesstion. Would it make sense to write down some small tabs and put it in the video for the stuff youre playing? Like at 2:45? Needs a lot of work but it could help some people.
I hate how this is the state of worship music, we have to go look up how to play something so it can sound "just like the cd" instead of letting the muscians try to express or give something geniune and of themselves. Thanks for the lessons though. You helped me find that main lick.

Extremely well-done videos! Thank you!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Such a great guitar. I hope my church plays this song more!
I hit like when I saw worship tutorials!
Good job! The effects were spot on!
Very helpful.. Thank you very much. This breakdown exactly what I needed!
I love all of your tutorials! Thanks!
I would love to see a Hallelujah Here Below (Elevation Worship) tutorial and play through!
The helix sounds awesome!!!!!........gotta get one!!
A good teacher
Great tutorial bro thanks so much
Love it! Super helpful! Any vieos you make for electric are my favorites!
God bless you!
How cool is your video god bless you , a like for you
And by the way, thank you for a great video.
Excellent
Are you using the "Edge" approved Blue Herdim pick? That is so key to the fullness of the delay sounds.
Hi. Can you do a cover and tutorial on Tauren wells known please?
Awesome explanations, thanks.
Great vid
Hey Brian/Brad. Can you guys also review the Veritas guitars? and all of their different pickups?
This was amazing helpful!!
Hey I have a question, how do u use all this effects at the same song without stopping and changing it manually??

Diamonds are basically when you strum a chord or note ONCE on beat 1 and hold it for the entire measure. Fairly simple.

Hey, I love your videos. How do you figure all these songs out? Just by ear or by sheet music?
Can you do In the Eye of the Storm by Ryan Stevenson please

Hello when you doing those sways are you using the volume pedal?

Can you do a tutorial on broken vessels by Hillsong on the electric guitar full.
Are you guys ok ? There's actually a huge storm in North Carolina called Florence, hope you are ok... :/
Thanks! Yeah the storm went south of us (we all live in the Raleigh/Durham area).
Trust me, we noticed it.
We got lots of rain...Holy cow!
I want that guitar.
So when your singer wants it in the key of F... what do you do?
3 frets up. But all the open chords and shapes are no longer available. Unless capo 3rd fret right? Any other alternative?
is this in standard tuning?
Anyone have a firehawk patch?
That is my dream guitar 😐. But so expensive and don't have any money
Do you have these patches for the pod 500x?
2:07 High E open on a D chord is no longer just a D my good man, or even an "open D" its a D2.

I can't get the right delay settings
Is it on normal tuning?
Hey Brian, is this tutorial in standard tuning? I know a lot of people play this song tuned with a dropped d.
Aaron Thompson you can play it in standard tuning! I know some guys that tune the low E string down to a D, but it’ll work in standard!
@@clayingold6193 do I really need some swells or can I just play all rhythm
What is a helix patch?
the lick at 10:50 is wrong... it hammers the 17th
Hey brian can u plz review ur les paul??
We have an entire video series coming up about that guitar :)
@@worshiptutorials yes the guys at 920D really did great magic with it for a while I thought u bought a new Duesenberg
Ha this is Bradford’s Duesenberg
Eu amo Maria Clara
You should find Maria and tell her how you feel. Life’s too short not to. 😅
adiciona legendas em portugues do brasil aula muito boa
How come you don’t do it the other way like on the 10th fret it’s so much easier
That’s walking down the Bm Pentatonic scale. Works just as well. I just learned it this way first, so that’s how I play it.
Their old lesson was like that. You can just pick which parts of each lesson you prefer.
Is wrong, the delay cover the Issues
Tell me how i play
Watch out the link 👆👆
Thats not how I'm hearing it.
Yeah, like seriously no one ever plays at least the verses the same. It’s really annoying lol!
wow this guy is teaching alot of the parts completely wrong

It honestly depends on the church you play for. I tend to have the freedom to mix it up and do my own taste in some stuff.
@@aaronsanchez93 good! I cant find a church like that.
Lol then don't do it, no one's forcing you
@@NicholasNorway you are so helpful
Slow down on your teaching bro
