I really enjoy the rainy atmosphere...its fits perfectly to the upcoming autumn! Beautiful soundtrack for a (best) mediocre game!

Never played ArcaniA, for me Gothic series ended with Gothic 3...but I'll give the soundtrack a try !

Same - sadly soundtrack also isn't written by KaiRo :(

@@ErrorSection yeah it's just not the same. Kai really left his mark on the Gothic universe... One of the best game soundtracks of all time I would argue.
but I'm biased because of the nostalgia I always have listening to it :P

@@amoeb81 I'm asking myself the exact same questions. Would I like the Gothic/Risen soundtrack as much as I do right now with my nostalgia?

@@ErrorSection Honestly though I think games made between 1998-2013 were objectively better compared to todays games with a few exceptions!. In my opinion this was the golden age of gaming.
Just to name a few from that era: Gothic serises, HL series, Portal, TF2, Crysis, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout series, StarCraft series, Stronghold, AOE series and AOM, Factorio, Metro, WOW , Warcraft 3, STALKER, HOMM3/5, NSF U, NSF U2 the list goes on...
Procedurally generated maps, loot boxes, repetitive quests became a general thing, feels empty, and pointless. The industry became profit focused, and it shows.
The best titles tend to come out from indie devs nowadays. So I don't think it's just us...

ArcaniA failed horribly from an open-world/story & skilltree perspective, but the soundtrack is one of the best and some regions look great! Overall i still enjoyed playing it when it came out, even though i just finished Gothic 3 and was a bit disappointed by ArcaniA. The DLC is absolutely horrible though, i can't recommend every buying it. And Funfact: ArcaniA got developed by Spellbound, another german studio who also developed Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, which is an awesome game.

Comfy, I really enjoy its atmosphere in every region. This game doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

I'm actually amazed by Arcania's music, it's actually great. People likes to praise G3 music, but Arcania is on the same level in my opinion. I wish the game was as good as the music

Bro listen to Vista point from Gothic 3 and tell me its the same level again. Or City Nights or any Gothic series music. Kai might be a dik but he knows how to make music.
