Love the part at 3:47 where we get Batman with the classic 'white-eye' appearance that is so prevalent in the comic-books, especially since it's set-up to imply it's being caused by the lighting of the scene. Not that this tiny detail has anything to do with it, but I think Arkham Origins is slightly underrated, and trust me, I know i'm not the only one to claim. The criticism for is fair and mostly justified, but I personally really enjoyed my playthrough of it, especially the boss fight with Deathstroke and the stealth sequence with Bane towards the end. I may be biased because it was the first 'Arkham' games I played - but even after playing the Rocksteady games - I felt that this was still a worthy addition to the catalogue, even though admittedly it is a slightly re-packaged version of City.
I liked it too because it feels close to Gotham city at night without a major disaster that evacuates everyone except the thugs. I also liked how this was before Batman worked with the gcpd
One of the reasons why I liked this game is because it still has the same mechanics from Arkham City, mostly. Arkham Knight's combat and predator sections were great, but they removed some features Arkham City had. Arkham Asylum is also too limited in terms of combat and predator. This is why I love both Origins and City, because they both have different stories, yet the same controls, which made them feel like a continued version of the game (obviously, it's a prequel, but if you play Origins, then City, you wouldn't have to adjust controls, hence why it feels like a continued game with slight changes rather than a new game with all controls moved and changed).
I fought when they assemble in a room to plan to take Batman down. Lol. I was dancing all the time. Used disarm and destroy a lot of times. Its my favourite move from batman games. Looks so cool, dismantling guns while fighting.
I don't think the white eyes means he was in detective vision. A lot of cutscenes in Origins depict Batman as having white eyes whenever other characters see him from the shadows, including times when it wouldn't make sense for detective vision to be on. It's just a bit of stylization.
Of course I would be pissed to he said if that were true I wouldn't be here Gotham has the highest crime rate and the fact that the cops treat him like a criminal is frustrating

This was before Batman had his reputation, his second year of being Batman. He only believed that he can fight all the criminals on his own, he was still young and need to learn a lot of things still in Origins. You can see he has a lot of anger here than the other Arkham games since he got older and got more mature and think ahead. He realizes that he can do better if he can get some help. You can see there's a lot of differences in Origins-Asylum.

It's honestly my 2nd favorite of the series. For me it's: 1. Arkham City (Which is my favorite game) 2. Arkham Origins 3. Arkham Asylum 4. Arkham Knight
Tbh it’s tied with Asylum for me personally. If anything, Knight is the worst one because despite its amazing graphics and gameplay, the story is really bad and makes no sense with lots of inconsistencies. Why they chose to replace Paul Dini with Geoff Johns to create the story is something I’ll never understand.

I know people say that Origins is the worst in the series, but IMO, it's still great anyway.
