I'd like to express my gratitude to you, Kevin. I've been playing the baritone for less than a year or so and besides learning different fingerings for standard open chords and barre chords I need to train my strumming and move my fingers faster.
Excellent tips. Recording yourself is so important. It shows you how you really sound as opposed to how you're thinking you're playing so great. I learned this as a piano player. I sounded horribly mechanical when I thought I was playing with such great feeling. 😢
Great info, as usual. I've heard the Metronome called "an instrument of mild torture," but it really is helpful, especially if you ever expect other people to hear you play. Same with recording.
