The work that goes into these levels is nothing short of incredible. Everyone who built parts are some of the most talented artists in the community and while im not as skillful artistically as them, I am more than proud of taking all the parts and merging them into one level in both Boom Slayer and Castlemania. To those who are unaware, in megacollabs like this each creator builds their part individually in their own copy and has to be made a custom object when completed and placed into one master copy of the level. With big advancements being made in the editor sometimes it is extremely hard for gd to handle these parts, so for people like me, i have to make sure all the parts work together with each other and make sure it doesnt overload the game too much. During the merging process of this my game crashed more times than i can count, but its always rewarding seeing the parts starting to get pieced together as i work. From my work on Castlemania and now this, im excited for whatever advancement in the gd editor i can help make in the future. Thanks for playing Eric!
Yea, Boom Slayer. This sure is special. It has to be one of the best levels in the game this far! It's just so good. It's great that BoomKitty is making songs for Armoraltra's levels so it will match the level. The boss looks really good and the movements are smooth. Boom Slayer is just perfection in my opinion. To answer your question Eric at 5:14 we have indeed seen similar boss fight animation in the past. One that pops up in mind is HHypers GD level named "Experiment 204" which is one of my personal favorites when it comes to epic boss battles in GD. You should really go and play it!
i think this level was supposed to be doom themed. the name “boom slayer” really seems like doom slayer especially with the hellish vibe and the song especially. it just sounds so much like doom music and might even use some in the song itself

It would probably lag the editor quite a bit, however, in game it would lag much less because each model replaces each other using toggle trigs (which completely erases each model when one appears).

This basically Doom Eternal. You've got references to Hell on Earth, Super Gore Nest with all the meaty bits, and the boss reminiscent of a mix of icon of sin and a tyrant, and also a bit of doom hunter. Let's not mention the obvious scientist lab/equipment similar to the UAC.
The boss was made by HHyper. He also made a 3D boss in his level called Omorfia. Its a layout styled level, but its still awesome enough for you to give it a try.
5:15 the only thing i remember is when you played slam by rafer, the end animation reminds me a little bit of that. although this is way more different and complex lol
Ngl 2.2 being released after 4 or 5 years really made awesome creators and creations in 2.1 to show up Just imagine the potential of 2.2 for creators now
