I was surprised to see the descriptions of those he was addressing throughout chapter 2, as “free”. Free to receive grace, free to show grace. Flies in the face of how we might frame it… but there is no greater powerful, agency, freedom than to be able to win over those who might oppress you. And free to acknowledge the sovereign Lord cover them all.
