  • Our rehabilitation section has been busy this summer with many admissions of injured and orphaned raptors. During the last few weeks we were able to release many of these raptors back into the wild. Among those released included 2 Barn Owls that were orphaned when their nesting site in a barn was torn down, 13 Barred owls that had been admitted for various injuries and many orphans, 1 American Kestrel that was orphaned, and 8 Red-shouldered Hawks that were also admitted for various injuries and orphaned. To learn more about our current patients or to make a donation visit: www.vetmed.auburn.edu/raptor/
*These releases occurred over several days. Raptor species were released at different locations and individuals will disperse to different areas, they will not stay where released.
