BAGUIO MOUNTAIN ROADS - First Experience By Motor (Nueva Vizcaya Filipino Blades)

- BAGUIO TO NUEVA VIZCAYA MOUNTAIN ROAD... A FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE FOR ME!
This is one of the few roads I haven't driven my motor around in the Cordilleras. On this day, we start in Baguio City, and make our way towards Bokod. Along the road, we find a cool biker hangout and cafe called "To The Moon". Caloy, the Filipino Chef who runs the place is awesome, and has a unique menu. From there, we make our way to the Ambuklao Dam, and end up flipping a coin to determine if we head for Mt. Pulag, or carry on to Nueva Vizcaya.
Kayapa Nueva Vizcaya, we end up finding some really great Filipino Ibaloy hand made blades at the market. After some positive vibes with locals, we head off in search of a lake in the mountains...
This was a great day exploring mountain roads in the Philippines.

Wow! Baguio city has sprawled in terms of people living there now. Well, the last time I was there was in the 80’s. Good to see how much the roads has improved. The mountain views are so beautiful and amazing drone shots. Always a good laugh with you Kulas. 😊
Haven't been that far north yet. Looks amazing and as alway's the people are the happiest in the world! Love Philippines moving there from Seattle USA next year to Cagayan De Oro City to open our Beach Resort. Can't wait to meet you some day Kulas! Keep spreading LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!
This route from Baguio to Nueva Vizcaya is worth exploring because the view is so nice. You see all green all around and there are more pine trees along the way. Nice to feature this quite unexplored road to another region of beauty.

Kulas ...you are a big help to the local economy, unknowingly.....Every place you go and feature some local businesses, it amplifies in your vlog and everyone gets a glimpse of a local place, where people haven't been through....it feels like you want to visit places you featured in your vlog , like a local tourist.

That yellow house is the house of the first mayor of Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya, the monument in front of the house is his memorial, since he was also WW2 veteran.

Pretty sure that finely crafted Bolo/Itak would be effective against a Baboy Bakya haha. The view of the dam, the mountains, and the rivers between the mountains look amazing and the drone footage would not look out of place in a NatGeo documentary for sure. I wonder what can be found in and around that lake though, because it looked pretty wild; maybe monitor lizards and wading birds, like that lake behind that resort that you stayed at Palawan many vlog episodes back.
I'm from Kayapa we went to that lake nobody swims there only carabao because when we were kids people discourage us to swim they say we might drown and die. There were 2lakes actually but some people drained it hunting for yamashita treasures.

Some dams are overwhelmed there and they will open them to prevent damage but in turn they create flooding below . It's a good with the bad situation.

Too bad no one was around to explain what the monument was or whose resting place that was inside the fenced in area. There must have been some significant event from WW II that occurred up there in that place. It would be worth doing some further research to find out.
