Young child: literally gets molested Producers: YEAH PUT A LAUGH TRACK
*YEAH USE THE ACTUAL AUDIENCE
I've been to many sitcom tapings, it is a live audience it's not an audio track that is spliced on. Most shows have a general audience of 100-200 people that is a mix of tourists there for free and paid audience members, we get paid minimum wage. A few shows have only about twenty-five paid "laughers" and then you get paid $17.50 an hour but every single person is expected to laugh at every joke, an assistant director tells us before each scene which lines to laugh at.
Maybe more disturbing is this wasn’t a laugh track. It was a “live studio audience.”
They didn't get molested you moron
@@JohnSmithsu2006 still violated. Enough to make the feel some type of way. Either way it was abuse
This episode is actually really well done and pretty disturbing. It shows a believable example of “grooming” over time. But MY GOD, they should have left out the laugh track. 🤦♀️
Agree. And this was when no one talked about it. Watching this show was the first time I knew that I needed to be careful. And I’m sure I wasn’t alone.
@@WelcometoChickenlandia the most disturbing part is thats a real audience. Not a laugh track. The first time I knew about child molestation is my parents. They told me a bad man was gonna take me and do weird things to me and chop my body up like an onion and I'd never see mommy and daddy again. That image always haunted me. Its harsh but I'm glad my parents put it like that tbh it saved my life from meeting random guys from tinder and everything .
It’s good that they did this episode but they really pushed boundaries with the innuendo.
@@ryleereynolds5710 So your parents lied to you about everything your whole life. And gee, we wonder why you can't tell the truth about anything.

Poor Dudley
The most disturbing part is that they actually put in a LAUGH TRACK...
They didn't "put in" a laugh track. These were the days of an actual live studio audience. So it's actually much worse: The disturbing part is that people were laughing.

What's sad is that the actor who played Willis actually was molested by a producer. He said in an interview later on that he really didn't want to do this episode because it brought back too many awful memories
Poor Todd.

The sad thing is Shavar Ross, Dudley on the show, was going through this in real life at the time. This episode also brought back bad memories for Todd Bridges, also a victim.
Holy shit! I had no idea about that young boy also being victimized too. So you have 2 victims on the show. And 2 others dead.
And nobody held accountable.
Todd Bridges’ autobiography is sad AF. Todd’s father remained friends with Todd’s molester 😣
@@gewhiz1494 Its so rampant in Hollywood......its more than likely why so many child starts fall off the deep end as adults....sad

Arnold and Dudley would of been better off beings skaters
LMFAO I know right
I was thinking it was not funny & the comments Arnold made didn’t help
It’s weird as it’s a very serious subject but they kept writing obvious jokes with punchlines that they clearly intended to be laughed at.
They wrote it like it was just an awkward situation full of funny moments. Very strange.
Laugh tracks are serious programming. Owen Benjamin showed clips from Seinfeld with the laugh tracks removed. It revealed neurotic, mentally I'll characters that were not funny at all, but creepy.
I'm cringing at all of the sexual innuendos coming from Arnold. The writers are weird

*VERY WEIRD LAUGH TRACK*
♡venuz_babi♡ This is an educational episode to teach kids about stranger danger, they have to use comedy to lighten the mood and make it palatable to younger audiences to get the message across and to not scare them, back then this was not the sort of stuff they talked about publicly so had to use the angle of comedy to make it work for the sensitive audience's back then. Why do people think somehow having comedy moments and laughing somehow means they are premoting pedos when the whole episode is a stranger danger episode of a comedy show, not that hard to understand.
GAME OVER "WE HAVE EVERY PIXEL COVERED"
Never said that they were promoting pedos. Also never said I don't know why there are any laugh tracks at all.
The "jokes" that proceed the laugh tracks are weird
Live studio audience shows still use laugh tracks to make different cuts/shots less noticable.
Tragic
GAME OVER "WE HAVE EVERY PIXEL COVERED" wtf? Are you replying to a comment someone deleted or are you seeing shit? No one is promoting pedophilia. We're just pointing out that the laugh track is weirdly placed and the jokes can be in bad taste or just shouldn't be there at all.
I mean, with your logic we are promoting pedophilia by wanting the laugh track to be either gone or toned down a lot. Does that mean you're saying it's okay for people to make jokes out of pedophiles and their victims instead? Just so they can seem relatable?
Foh.
The sad part is that the kids on this show were actually sexually abused.
Who are you, Buzz Killington? :-)
.....the entire episode was about molestation, tf you mean buzz kill???? @@joeramir421
We're they though
@@kianarobertson01 it means he's more of a buzz kill than buzz killington
Its a family guy joke
And where are you getting this information from? Or are you just pulling it out of your ass?
This episode actually shows a very authentic progression of grooming.
Notice how Mr. Horton's comments and "jokes" start out as fairly innocent, but as the child builds more of a rapport, these subtly become more and more sexual and frank. He's probing to see how the kids will react and if he can move things up a notch to get to the end goal. All the while he's plying them with happy accessories (ice cream, video games, cartoons) to gain their favor and trust.
I'm still on the fence about if these "very special episodes" needed to be tackled in sitcoms, but this ep is a valuable lesson to kids for what to be on the lookout for, when an adult who isn't related wants to be their friend.
Even ones who ARE related
It was very well done with one huge exception: trying to inject humor. Nothing funny about child predators 🤔

The actor playing the "bicycle man" felt really, REALLY uncomfortable with his role.
(Edit. I had to repost this using the words "bicycle man" and not the P word because TH-cam deleted my comment. It's like they are trying to silence those who oppose such vile things.
TH-cam is actively censoring anyone who can articulately lay out the ties between the world elite and pedophilia. If a comment takes the stance that the elite and pedophilia are undeniably linked, but is formulated poorly and/or contains a multitude of spelling/grammatical errors, they’ll ignore that comment since it likely will only cause normies to roll their eyes in dismissal, rather than convince them that there’s something to the whole idea.
(Edit: I have screen caps and screen recordings of them censoring me and others in real time, just to prove to myself and my family that I’m not crazy. The comments being removed did not violate user guidelines.)
It's like, I dunno, Hollywood and Washington are overrun with "bicycle men" and need to be protected by YT...

Bingo.
I love it when sitcom producers don't know which canned laughter is appropriate to use when reacting to pedophilic shenanigans.
AceAttorny this show was filmed live with a studio audience. If anything, the audience are the ones who are messed up.
I knew it was either canned or live. Gambled on a fart and lost.
Either, way it still cracks me up.
At least they had the good sense to know that pedophilia is a hilarious subject to use for a situation comedy. Otherwise this masterpiece never would been made. Too bad they didn't go through with that episode about bestiality. It would have been another classic.
I was part of a live studio audience for a sitcom recording back in the day. We unknowingly became unpaid extras who came in for a free show and the hope of meeting a celebrity. We're instructed to do what the glowing sign to the right of the stage tells us to do and with enthusiasm. If it says laugh, you laugh or else they'll tape the scene all over again.
It reminds me of the scene in Annie Hall when Woody Allen is ripping on his friend for dubbing in canned laughter and he says "Do you have any booing on there?"
I remember watching this episode with my brother and sister we were so young we didn't catch all these sexual innuendos. Very disturbing now as a 40 year old.

Because his detractors wanted to tarnish his image, they couldn't stand a black entertainer who didn't confirm to their views, trying to be such champion of good in stark contrast to so many other non-black entertainers. you don't have to look far to see how all these alleged allegations almost despaired overnight once money was involved, usually when the plaintiffs asked for money to make things go away. MJ was a private person, and it's not uncommon for people like him to such evasions of his privacy to be wiped away even if he was innocent of any crime, notice that even after they raided his home, they found no actual evidence just alleged that they did, if a police officer actually finds evidence of you doing a crime aren't they required by LAW regardless of money or fame to arrest you, in MJ case he would have never gotten out of jail no matter how much money he had if these alleged crimes against him were true.
