- Hello Friends
After a clean up in my art studio one day I found some sheets of a lovely 100% cotton paper called BFK Rives made in France. I usually use the usual tissue papers and rice paper for printing on my gel plate. I tried the Rives paper and it was absolultey beautiful to use, the print looked amazing and I knew then and there that BKF Rives was the paper for me!
Off to the art supply store to find the paper is actually quite expensive so I began searching for an alternative. Something that behaved like the BKF Rives cotton paper without the price tag. Have a found a suitable sunstitite?
All is revielled in this weeks art vlog testing new gelli plate paper.
I hope you enjoy : )

These shapes remind me of Avebury stonea
They do! 😄 I’ve always loved Stonehenge. Didn’t know about Avebury. Thanks for making the connection ❤️
Checkout Avebury & Stonehenge...😊
I will! 🎨💗
Fabulously inspiring! Can you put a link where I can purchase the paper please?
Thanks! The papers are sold by all good art supply stores and definitely by specialist printmaking supply stores. You’re looking for Somerset velvet (also comes in satin) 250gsm printmaking paper. Hope that helps 😊🎨❤️
