Zurik 23M is such an artist, and has an amazing talent to combine scenes together so perfectly. All of these fan videos are amazing, and I cry my eyes out everytime, but I think my absolute favorite is Oh, Brother (Ragnar& Floki). Looking forward to watch your reaction of it.
The reason why I love this video so much on top of the emotional weight, is because it perfectly shows the pillars of Ragnar's character. What drove him and what ultimately took its toll.
It's interesting how a show about war, battle and pillage can bring up such strong, virulent emotions. I think it's because it depicts very well the origin of those conflicts: desire, rage, revenge, the most pure and natural of our aggression. In the end, war comes from emotions, from the ambition of a man to give more to their people, from the rage of sons avenging his father. I think what we love most of Ragnar is how true he is to these emotions without being dominated by them. He's ambitious, and he kills for what he wants, but he doesn't become inhuman in the process. He's prideful and he has rage, but he channels those instead of letting them blind him. And this purity, this natural approach to emotions that other people usually coat or let control them, is what makes him touch our heart in a very painful way.
This came out right after All his Angels aired and it was one of the most powerful things I have seen. I was worried that it would lose some of it's power if you waited to watch it but you really seemed moved by it.

And I couldn't write the description better Lola... What Zurik did with the Ragnar farewell videos and especially with this one, is beyond words. And yes, you two drove me to tears once more lol! I am serious when I say that your love for Ragnar is perhaps the greatest I've encountered... And the way you fell in love with the show does not only resembles our journey of falling for it, but it also tells the story of how we all fell in love with you, our sisters. An amazing video for a unique character. Ragnar had so many aspects in his character. Sensitivity, mercy, madness, curiosity, loyalty and love for his family, conflict between belief and desbelief, cruelty, humour. He was a little of all and that did his character so interesting. His sons have a lot of potential especially ivar and ubbe but they cannot touch this level of this character and of course the actor who played this role. But because the past is past and the series keep going team ubbe all the way because he closes resemble to ragnar and of course team alfred who is the son of athelstan and i think the only good saxon. .
