Looking good. Coming together really nice. Liking the low profile cross member for the exhaust to fit.👍

I knew a kid back in the 80s that had a 500 in his first gen firebird. In the 90s I ran a 429 Cadillac in my 79 Camaro. Then I ran a 500 in my 85 Blazer in the 90s and then my 78 GMC short bed after that.

I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one that swaps these engines into other things.

I got it from my dad. We put a 400 Pontiac in his 74 blazer in the 80s, in the 60s he had a 50 Ford with a Olds engine and a 55 T bird with a Hemi. In 95 I put a 350 tuned port from a 89 formula in my wife's 85 s10 Blazer 4x4. My dune buggy that I drive daily during the good weather I swapped in a 2001 Subaru 2.5 and 5 speed transmission. My 69 Firebird project will keep it's 350 4 speed though because it's been all redone and runs good. @@shaggyscarshop

I've had 2 Cadillac 472/500 and I learned the hard way that there's a bracket that goes from the back of the starter to the engine block , it keeps the starter from kicking sideways and breaking the starter head when the engine kicks back , I don't know about finding one that would fit on a mini starter but after seeing what you did with the serpentine belt , I'm sure you can make something , just something that proved to be a big headache for me , I'm really impressed with what you've built , it makes me want to start another project .

Thanks for the info. Ill have to look into that. I am trying to reduce my headaches but i guess swapping a caddy nto a firebird is a headache in itself lol. thanks for watching, and i hope i have inspired you to start another project.

Since I found your videos I've been watching a lot of Cadillac stuff and when I saw this I thought about what me and you talked about , this guy made a brace for his starter , maybe an idea , I think it's at about 13:50 or 14:00 minutes , just a thought 👍
