Ms. Bastianelli asks us to consider how we are unique and what we have to offer to every opportunity that is waiting for us in the future!
Ann Bastianelli joined the marketing faculty at Indiana University Kelley School of Business following a career that included senior executive roles at Leo Burnett, DowBrands, IKON Office Solutions and Hillenbrand. Among the many facets of her business legacy are award-winning advertising campaigns for McDonald's Happy Meals, Eggo Waffles, and The Scrubbing Bubbles from Dow Bathroom Cleaner. An author/editor of four books, Ann is CEO of Anthology Consulting, specializing in marketing strategy and executive coaching. A member of Leading Authorities Speaker's Bureau, Ann has delivered keynote speeches for some of the world's most admired companies.

I found these insights inspiring, and they align with my own journey in personal branding. It's a continuous process of self-discovery and relationship-building.

It comes to the following question: "what do you want to be known for?" and once we have a clear understanding of it, it becomes easier to position ourselves and build a powerful personal branding.

I’ve long heard about Bobby Knight and his “going off the rails.” He was masterful at that. It’s great to hear the behind-the scenes story and she altered my opinion of Knight.
Excellent video, do agree that in order to be able to properly market yourself you have to really know every aspect of your own persona to eventually know what areas of yourself you should work in order to achieve a particular goal, and in what others you are naturally good at, kind of like nature vs. nurture.
This woman is a great speaker, I love her.
Good stuff. As I read and learn more about personal branding, I always hear be authentic, unique, self aware, and tell your story. First time deepen relationships have come to surface. As an introvert, I believe deppening relationships in an important quality.
Deepening relationships takes time and effort, but it's worth it. Strong relationships make our lives richer and more fulfilling.

For me as a non-English native speaker, I honestly couldn’t catch all the word she said. But somehow I got her messages and her personalities shown here.
And that’s also a good example to learn from.

When you say, “what do you want to be defined as?” Is it what I wish to be, or who I truly am. Plus can you simply define yourself? I feel there is so many components about ones self that can’t be entailed to one definition.
You made some great points, often the core lessons are so simple that people looking for a complex answer mistake it as not powerful. BTW those slogans 2 scoops, leggo my Eggo, what a legacy. Great job Ann!

Not really. There are people like Dalai Lama, Gaur Gopal Das and Sadguru; they don't care about how much money they own. They care about how much knowledge they can share. The more knowledge they share the more successful they feel.
