So nice to see all these new gel nail videos here lately. Love this channel but I stopped using acrylic and switched to gel a couple years ago. Now I can get both with Suzie! Most people don't realize that it actually takes 3 colors, one white, 3 pinks, to do a gel Ombre. The lighter pink is used as what us gel techs have been calling the "ghosting" layer.
I don't do gel, but I learned how to do the Ombre flawlessly with your acrylic video. Forever thankful for your amazing tips and suggestions, Suzie!! :)

Hi Nellie, we use Canon and Panasonic Cameras. I manually focus them. Seems like you have two options, depending on the look you want. Either use a camera with a wide angle lens that has a deep depth of field so everything in focus, or use a camera that has good auto focus. What to use really depends on your budget. You can use an action camera like a GoPro, or for better quality look into Canon, Sony and Fuji - they have very good auto focus. I'd recommend Canon 80D (not too expensive) or the Sony A7 iii (around USD$2000.00) without lens. There are less expensive options, but I am not familiar with them, you can also get good Canon cameras used.
So pretty. I wish I could afford Ugly Duckling. I’ve been doing nails 26 years as a side job. I can’t afford Ugly Duckling at this point in my life, but it seems like a great product. I love the viscosity of the gel. I use IBD and now Mia Secret hard gel systems when I do hard gel. You did a great job on your ombre.

I can't help it, but I enjoy watching these videos. The quality is great...but at the same time, it makes me just wary of going to one of the local salons in my area. the last time, within a week I had six nails lift. Some of the patterns that are done are beautiful, including this one. I almost wish I lived in Canada to get my nails done properly.
I love ugly duckling gels for baby boomers i have just begun using ugly duckling gels as my core gel system and i love it especially fufu pink my favorite color
