Finally. A dedicated video. GVS has one of the nicest looking of jumping smashes. The way he leap high on the air, the way he bent his shoulder more than 180 degree (defying physical limit), the confidence, timing, and the transfer of the power strength into that one shot are just so impressively amazing.
Powerful smash and look cool together? Probably only GVS.
I slowed motion his jumping smash, still very hard to learn just 1% of what he did.
So confident the way he controls the shuttlecock especially when it comes to smash.
His wrist is so trancendent and his shuttle feeling is so great. His jumping smash look like flying butterfly but so powerful on shuttlecock when it down.

I like Goh V Shem's style of jump smash the most. The way he jumps as high as he could and hold his energy and let it go in one fast swing. But it is rather slow so most of the time it's not continuos.

just watched them at the world championship 2021. I used to think Goh was the best doubles player... guess I missed how much Tan W. K. carried him... Gohs flat game and front court play is non existent compared to the other doubles players. All he does is lifting and giving away the initiative. It works if the enemy doesnt have a strong attack, but thats it. I understand why Tan W. K. broke up the partnership. Goh doesnt seem to want to improve his flat game or front court play
