  • Tinted moisturiser is the perfect light coverage base if you want to enhance your natural beauty without looking too overdone! It can help you have that natural glow while evening out your skin tone.
    Essential Tools in Applying Tinted Moisturiser
    The tools you will need are:
    • Tinted moisturiser
    • Your clean fingers!
    3 Steps in Applying Tinted Moisturiser
    Step 1: Match the Shade
    Even though you might think that it doesn’t matter if the shade matches you or not, it’s important to find the right one as this will help you get the most natural finish. If you can, visit a store and get samples of different shades or test them right away on your jawline to see what best matches your skin.
    Step 2: Apply the Tinted Moisturiser
    Either place a dollop of tinted moisturiser on the back of your hand or just take it from the tube. Dip your fingers into the product and apply it on to your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin.
    P.S. Don’t forget to wash your hands before the application.
    Step 3: Blend
    Now you can blend in the tinted moisturiser with your fingers. Do a circular motion to really blend it onto the skin, leaving an even and streak-free finish.
    Doing Makeup with Your Fingers Is Easy
    The applied tinted moisturiser should lightly sit on your face exactly matching your skin tone. It should lightly cover those blemishes and brighten your complexion, without looking too overdone.

    I prefer to put it on one cheek and blend,then put it on the other cheek and blend again. Nose,blend.. forehead, blend. Instead of putting dots everywhere because it gets dried quickly and it’s hard to blend afterwards

    Hey Melissa, a doubt. Should we apply a compact or lose powder after applying tinted moisturizer? Or we can skip that part?

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! :)
      You can but don't have to! This depends on the finish you want to achieve and your skin type. If you become oily or sweaty throughout the day, you probably want to set it with powder :)

    Hi thank you for this tutorial I have a question. I was wondering do you put the tinted moisturizer on 1st then primer or is it the other way around ? Also can I put some foundation on over the tinted moisturizer ? Thank u again. Send love from Las Vegas,NV

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well...what tinted moisturiser and primer do you use?
      That's a tricky one...if you have a silicone primer then I would skip the primer and use the tinted moisturiser on its own.
      However, when you're using a foundation afterwards which you can do then you apply the tinted moisturiser at first and then add the primer on top and then finish with your foundation.
      Don't forget, keep it light! 😊

      @@MelissaVanDijkOfficial Thank you for making everything so clear I will definitely keep your suggestions in mind. I just don't want to over do it or put too much on but I just feel like I need a little more coverage I see redness coming thru on my cheeks.

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is really a tricky one...since a tinted moisturiser should add moisturiser to your face but at the same time add a bit of coverage, I feel like when using a primer before the tinted moisturiser, the moisturising effect kind of gets lost since it doesn't touches the skin right-away also you tinted moisturiser includes SPF. Does that make sense?
      Hm...I guess it would make more sense to me to moisturise, then SPF then Primer and then a very light foundation + a bit of concealer and that's it😅
      Have you already tried using the primer before or after the tinted moisturiser? I guess I have to try it myself as well to see what works😃

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial

      Best would be to use a tinted SPF or a tinted moisturizer that contains SPF. However, to answer your question, yes you would use your SPF before applying your tinted moisturizer :) just wait 10 to 15 min. in between.

    I used many tinted moisturizers in the past, and stopped because my face would always oxidize; turn grey. I’m back to using it again after years later and sits still oxidizing making my face Grey. What do I do?
    What I do is just use a beauty blender and put it on. I don’t use moisturizing or anything prior to the tinted moisturizer .

    • @MelissaVanDijkOfficial
      @MelissaVanDijkOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tatianaprettyy No, you don't have to use a tinted moisturizer under your foundation, I just meant to say that you may need to change its shade. Using a primer before your tinted moisturizer may work too, and/or see it still happens when using powder on top of it?🤔
