I'm bipolar and am so glad that people who have this disorder are speaking out. The stigma has to end. We aren't crazy, we have a chemical in balance in our brains. Thank you Maurice for speaking out for all of us.!

Thank you Maurice. The stigmas around mental illness need to be crushed so that people get help. It's best for the individual and best for society. Each person who speaks out can help.

Wow, this really spoke to me. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression that leads to panic attacks lately, its "episodic" too. Essentially all of the symptoms he describes are the same to how I feel daily. I'm currently seeking help and am hoping that the treatment I get is as successful. It is really hard to live like this.

I appreciate Maurice Benard who plays as Sonny because can't nobody play his character better than him.

Thank you Maurice for being so open about being bipolar. I could only dream of being even half as eloquent as you are. I'd love to help others who struggle the way we have/do. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Thank You for sharing this personal problem in your life. I know it well, my oldest Son has been sick for 15+ years, unfortunately he is using "other drugs" that keep him depressed, angry and sick. We have tried, but, he keeps going back to the street drugs and is not a happy person. He is under Doctors Care, lives in a "Service Apartment" subsidized housing, free to come & go. He has been in and out of Mental Health Facilities, Nursing Homes and Homeless surviving as long as he could, pan-handling. It seems he dose not care. He still hears voices from the Devil.
So, I thank you Maurice for sharing your story, maybe it will save a life!

Great video! Thanks for sharing! I am a fan of General Hospital and Maurice Benard and i appreciate him telling his story about his mental illness. I think this could help a lot of people who suffer from bipolar or any other mental illness cause it can also help them to feel less alone.. I have suffered from depression since I was a teenager and still suffer from it today along with anxiety and it isn't easy, but it is nice seeing videos like this up on the net cause it helps me to feel less alone..so thanks again for sharing this video..

Never and don't rely all or too much on family.
learning to be independent is not a not a sort of stupid mind.
I really don't know why people always thinking in like this?!
    Really don't know why.

My family looks down on me, control me and they think that they "know" what's going on about me but actually they know nothing just by their own mind and understanding.
    Stupid and silly mind.
