Fun story! I met him at stagedoor when i went and saw the show. Anyways this girl around maybe 16 or 17 goes "I NEED a picture" and the Alex says "You dont NEED a picture" then proceeds to tell her how its not very respectful to say stuff like that (in a nice way of course) and when he got to me I was scared I was going to mess up what to say to him so I go "Sir, may I please take a photo with you" and he goes "Of course sweetheart anytime!". Then he was waiting for his ride home, and at this time only 15 or so people were left at the stagedoor, and he talked to us for like 30 minutes. Yeah! He is such a nice and down to earth actor and I absolutley love him and adore him. Sorry long comment just thought I would share my experience. Edit: Thank Yall for the likes! I am super fortunate to have met him and im glad yall enjoyed my little experience. And to answer, yes the girl was extremely nice after but a little awkward. And traditionally actors on any show have a stagedoor from their venue and if they would like to meet the fans they get to do so from the stagedoor! As long as you went to the show, you can go to the stagedoor (maybe that's just what ive heard but?)

He actually has an extra thing in his throat that allows him to do it. You can watch a video where they put a video camera into his throat to show exactly what's happening. It's gross....and awesome

Lily Engelsgjerd yep! he said in an interview that doing the beetlejuice voice is like breathing normally almost, so his technique is awesome!
for his beetlejuice voice, he said in interviews that he uses the fold right above his vocal chords so it isn’t damaging
He has a false cord so he can do it super easy with no harm to his actual cords
he uses a trick called ventricular fold phonation. currently trying to learn it just for him 😂
