I would like to add that I love the strokes, and I did this as a gag because all my friends kept giving my shit about how much this song sounded like a Strokes rip off. I'm pretty blown away that almost 50,000 people have seen this, and I'm really glad to have had the chance to be heard by so many people, even though it was mostly by accident and misdirection. This was not an attempt to scam the Strokes, or make money, it was just me having some shitty fun. To those who've enjoyed it, thanks for being a good sport and having an open mind. To those of you who feel bamboozled, hoodwinked, etc., I apologize for wasting 4 minutes of your very serious life.
+Christopher Lute I mean I thought it sounded way too PRE-Is This It and even then a bit strange, but hell I went with it. It's pretty good though hahaha
+Christopher Lute You know, I really don't want to reward this....but your song is my favourite kind of depressing, and the production is genius. Keep it up man, will definitely give your album a few listens
Nightstalker has a new album you can find on TH-cam called "intelligent television" on Dark Circles Records. About to record another as well... would honestly change the name of this video now but I can't figure out how to log into that account lol...
that guitar solo shows so much skill the "wah" affect on each of thise notes its sick af and then how does he strum that fast at the end that solo is just mind blowing if anything rock hall and fame lol or he was drunk af and was feelin it lol
Never ever softly sleeping One to which it all comes easy I have spent a life time leaving Just so that we never could be Now I'm never at home Leave me outside, but don't leave me alone Now I'm never at home You and me can take it easy Even though the times are leaving Me to find a single feeling Ever pressing always fleeting Maybe it was something that I dreamt Maybe it was something that I drank Maybe I was awake you know these days I can barely differentiate
In case you guys wanted to know who this guy is (because it's only one guy as far as I know): His name is Christopher J. Lute, he has a bandcamp website. Go look for it because youtube won't let me post the link.
There is a band called The end of the world. It may be them. One of my friends had an album by them on vinyl he used to Jam that sounded just like the strokes
@thekillers1stfan you're so right is fucking amazing! But it grows on you and gets better and better for every listen, like all strokes-songs do. Am i the only person who thinks you're so right is awesome?
I have followed the strokes since album one. i can honestly say through 100s indie bands bands ive heard the strokes ranked 1. This is on par (if not better) and sounds more like strokes (then they themselves do now). i dont know you sir but i tip my hat to you. i would buy/join your music in a heartbeat. u r only doing 2 music by keeping ur masterpieces under wraps. Im glad i stumbled upon u dont ever quit and plz for the sake of music release more!!
@kol2402 i felt that way towards Under Cover of Darkness, it was pretty good when i first listened to it and i love it now, but You're so Right sucks no matter how many times you listen to it. i've listened to it over 10 times and i still hate it just as much as the first listening. The Strokes are supposed to be Garage rock not some pretentious-hipter-Radiohead band
The Strokes should have done this song instead of "you're so right", that song is a disgrace this song is awesome, and i really want to find out who this is and what the song's called
Albert confirmed this isn't The Strokes. I wish whoever it was wasn't trying to live off of The Strokes' fame because I really like it but have no way of listening to anymore music. So that was really poor planning on their part..
This is not The Strokes. Ryan Gentles, manager of The Strokes has confirmed that no b side is to be released with UCoD on vinyl or CD. Who's song this is, I don't know.

Christopher Lute you backed you ass up into great song then
+Christopher Lute I mean I thought it sounded way too PRE-Is This It and even then a bit strange, but hell I went with it. It's pretty good though hahaha
It does sound like a strokes rip off
+Christopher Lute You know, I really don't want to reward this....but your song is my favourite kind of depressing, and the production is genius. Keep it up man, will definitely give your album a few listens
+Christopher Lute You should record this in better quality, although still dope as it is! keep up the good work man
This better than it has any right to be.
this is actually real good. true i wanted to hear a strokes song but this is just as good
Nightstalker has a new album you can find on TH-cam called "intelligent television" on Dark Circles Records. About to record another as well... would honestly change the name of this video now but I can't figure out how to log into that account lol...
When I first heard this, I was kind of pissed off because it's not a Strokes song. But I just came back and I love this. It's so, so good.
I think the creator of this song deserves some credit. Head on over to his band camp(Christopher j lute)
that guitar solo shows so much skill the "wah" affect on each of thise notes its sick af and then how does he strum that fast at the end that solo is just mind blowing if anything rock hall and fame lol or he was drunk af and was feelin it lol
Here's me rippin more of those solos in my new band DANA. th-cam.com/video/Si_D_bXpqqc/w-d-xo.html
I be feelin this track, shits tight
I just dont know why the fuck nobody likes this, this is art!
Because people re dumb. Duh
when i listened to this when i was 12 it was my favorite 'strokes' song, still kinda is
I really enjoy the fact that a gag song quickly became my favorite song to listen to.
guitar lead does A D( E). while riff Bbm(9/7) Fm(9/7).
thanks
Have the same notes of "Universally Speaking - RHCP"
Never ever softly sleeping
One to which it all comes easy
I have spent a life time leaving
Just so that we never could be
Now I'm never at home
Leave me outside, but don't leave me alone
Now I'm never at home
You and me can take it easy
Even though the times are leaving
Me to find a single feeling
Ever pressing always fleeting
Maybe it was something that I dreamt
Maybe it was something that I drank
Maybe I was awake you know these days
I can barely differentiate
I tried actually listening to home by nightstalker and I can’t find it anymore on youtube or Spotify so I guess this is what I have to resort to
well thank u for introducing me to a great band
Love this song! It's like a rock/blues infused song all the sounds just go together lol

There is a band called The end of the world. It may be them. One of my friends had an album by them on vinyl he used to Jam that sounded just like the strokes
I really don't feel like this is The Strokes. But I don't know. It definitely has a 'Strokes kind of feel to it.
I wonder why they didn't add this song to the newest B side compilation
Not Strokes

IT IS ACTUALLY THE STROKES.

Send me link?
@@missoja4124 8 years too late
That isn't what makes them mad.
This sounds like it's influenced by The Strokes (which it obviously is), but it does not sound like The Strokes
@thekillers1stfan you're so right is fucking amazing! But it grows on you and gets better and better for every listen, like all strokes-songs do. Am i the only person who thinks you're so right is awesome?
the name of this song? which is? please somebody tell me
Home - Nightstalker
Some late i think jeje
Also check out christopherjlute(dot)bandcamp(dot)com
Anyway, it don't recognize Julian's voice oO ... anyway really good song, sounds like an old post-punk song to me !
can you tell me the real name of the band? thanks
No son The strokes, pero me gusta como suena!
Entonces quienes son?
Clearly not the strokes but who is the artist? I am liking it
what is the actual name of this band, because this is great.
julian cantando de haleys
I feel like this would be on twilight lol
this is the same as that "fake" two kinds of happiness floating around. it's good. but its true identity as a song is not yet fully realized.
first of this is not the strokes second the riff is semi stolen from sonic youth- teenage riot.
Sound like early strokes
Seconded. It's a good alternative though.
mmm vos decís...?
OH jesus. please, give me your band name. :D
I dont know
I have followed the strokes since album one. i can honestly say through 100s indie bands bands ive heard the strokes ranked 1.

u r only doing 2 music by keeping ur masterpieces under wraps.
Im glad i stumbled upon u dont ever quit and plz for the sake of music release more!!
actually the b-side of this one is You're So Right, so this is so fake
You're So Wrong
similar to Moby's Were All Made of Stars
dude idc if this isn't the strokes but it's a good song and I just wanna ask who the real artist was
it's nightstalker-home
but I prefer this version of the song I love it.
i kinda dig it
who is this?
agreed and isn't it also illegal?
@darkcirlcesrecords Did a little research, brah.
lyrics?
www.songlyrics.com/nightstalker/home-lyrics/
Thanks!
not the strokes, but this song is fooking awesome, anyone know who it is?
"Nightstalker"
Good*
@kol2402 i felt that way towards Under Cover of Darkness, it was pretty good when i first listened to it and i love it now, but You're so Right sucks no matter how many times you listen to it. i've listened to it over 10 times and i still hate it just as much as the first listening. The Strokes are supposed to be Garage rock not some pretentious-hipter-Radiohead band
How do you think about it now???
to be honest.,...musically it sounded like early strokes demo's...but obviously vocals are waaay too filtered.
Full album from my (now defunct) band Nightstalker. th-cam.com/video/Jd9wjYpEflo/w-d-xo.html
could you put this song on spotify?
th-cam.com/video/MzBs7urC9FM/w-d-xo.html
hola que honda con esta cancion de quien es
The Interlude. Todo este tiempo pensé que hablabas en inglés
Interlude tienes idea de cuáles puedan ser los acordes? Soy subscriptor desde hace tiempo
This was good, not the strokes but still good
Song is great but we want to know who it really is!!!!!
Pretty sweet, especially as the strokes sound is changing and is further away from this style.
Don't have to be rude about it....
thumbs up if you think the start of drag queen sounds a lot like this song.
The Strokes should have done this song instead of "you're so right", that song is a disgrace this song is awesome, and i really want to find out who this is and what the song's called
band does not sound too bad... however, the vocalist is surely no julian casablancas
Albert confirmed this isn't The Strokes. I wish whoever it was wasn't trying to live off of The Strokes' fame because I really like it but have no way of listening to anymore music. So that was really poor planning on their part..
+subtleintherain Could you show where he said that?
This is not The Strokes. Ryan Gentles, manager of The Strokes has confirmed that no b side is to be released with UCoD on vinyl or CD. Who's song this is, I don't know.
