Yes. Even enthusiasts will agree, certainly for their first ride, we are all on the same level when it comes to X2's first drop for the first time. Nothing else can come close to the suspense and absurdity of this drop when you're walking up to it, and it's cranked up to ten when you start climbing the lift backward. You don't know when it's gonna happen, and nothing can prepare you for how the cars rotate. It's a thrill for sure!
Idk if it’s just me, but the drop was one of the easiest parts. It was the rest of the twists where you’re changing direction right left and center that shook me so hard my bottom limbs were not even inside the ride by the end
Comparing this against coaster drops, this has no comparison. The closest thing I think I've been on to capturing the fear of this drop is Falcon's Fury, and even that doesn't put you through the flip at the bottom. Kudos to Shilke for creating this masterpiece
I think falcons fury is scarier since it’s like 330 feet tall, but this is shakier and is like a minute long where fury is just 3 seconds. This one is more sickening but I like fury better
I have been on this ride countless times.. and it’s by far the scariest first drop out of any other ride I be been on. And definitely the best first drop of any ride at magic mountain 👏
I kinda think of gatekeepers horizontal flip at the drop, and Valravns dive but imagine that on a flying coaster, all out into one coaster way ahead of its time x2. I never been to Magic mountain but I wish someone would build an updated version of this.
I had to get on it with a friend of mine but as soon as I got in the waiting line I had an anxiety attack and I refused 😭 the worst thing are the side seats where there is a void underneath instead of tracks, since they have wide horizontal carriages
@@CanobieCoaster well I’m just waiting for the Halloween day to come and I will try to climb that roller coaster 👍 but I have to take some Xanax bc I would be so anxious and fear a heart attack 😭
If all goes to plan (aka the ride is open) I will ride this for the first time later this month! I live in California but both times I have been to magic mountain I ended up chickening out. (I was a new enthusiast at the time) I’m ready now lol. This thing looks incredible
@Coaster Gnome Same here, my brother! The same happened to me 2 years ago. I'm going soon this year for my 32nd birthday. So hopefully, I finally have the nerve to go on for the first time.
The most intimidating drop I've experienced is skyrush because of the intense jolt halfway down and the sheer speed it's taken at, and I imagine X2 and El Toro are even more terrifying lol
This ride gave me the biggest headache, and there were also many rough parts and the ride is overall very scary. I’m fine with scary, but this is just to scary..
@@CanobieCoaster Of the row behind the front or the back row. Not waiting a long time in line to settle for the weak middle seats. Epic Just like you said.
I’m very sad, the past summer, I was in California for the first time, and X2 was closed for scheduled maintenance, idk when I’ll get back to California 😔

Everyone is impressed and blown away by the ride. Im terrified of magic mountain but hearing so many good things about this ride. I want to try.
I rode this 5 times and it really did change me. I don’t even flinch or feel emotion that much anymore. Like I’m suffering from depression or something 😂
The only ride that's seriously scared me as an adult. Though curiously the drop wasn't the scariest part for me - I think it all happened too fast to fully take it in. The scariest bit for me was a bit later when there was a long turn and you just feel so exposed and barely held in when you're a ridiculous height off the ground.
@@CanobieCoaster Makes sense - I think for me (on my only ride, not knowing what to expect) it was just *so* overwhelming that the fear didn't register until the calmer part of the ride.
Yeah I went on it for the first time yesterday and I was actually in shock. That drop had me thinking I was gonna plummet to the ground. The twisting and turning does not deserve to be that intense. And the little bit of roughness on the coaster just added to it
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks for the tip, no, my girlfriend rode the inside seat. But what about the concussion thing at the very end where your head slams into the back headrest? Does the inside seat mitigate that as well?
How do I get over my fear of big roller coasters. I have no idea why but I’m only scared of acceleration. Like x2 doesn’t look scary to me and I would definitely hop on… but Superman freaks me out got any tips?
While shellraiser is just very steep to the point where it goes in, this one flips u facing down. So ur falling almost straight down 200 feet facing towards the ground
The most insane drop ever!! Your literally flipping upside back and forward as your dropping straight down. The craziest ride at six flags. Not for light weights🫣

Is it going to be open 17-23rd of Dec?
You wanna know something, i barely shook after the ride

Rode this twice yesterday and my god, videos can’t capture how intense this ride is! It’s insane!
I love it.
Back row is the scariest. The end drags you straight down hard.
The drop delivers in any row.
Yeah it’s something else. Faces you directly toward the ground then plummets you face first
Yup!
Millenium Force was the most scariest drop for me as a kid even over X2. It felt like I was being dragged over a cliff.
I love the length of Millennium Force's drop.
X2 is the wildest coaster ever. The final raven turn needs to be braced for. I slammed my head the first time.
I always brace for that part.
“I want to go on Fourth Dimension Coaster 1 again” was all that was on my mind after my first ride.
Lol
I’ll definitely be sure to check out this ride when I go to California, idk when.
