HOLY COW!!! I wish I saw this video before sending out my first shipment. I wrapped my stuff in cling wrap and it looked like crap. No heat gun, no sealer, none of that. Just slapped on the stickers where there was loose ends. I'm already gonna get suspended and I barely started.
Great info, thanks so much! Is the shrink wrap thick enough for the FBA 1.5mm requirement? Do you need to pierce the plastic to let the air out before shrink-wrapping?
I'm having issues with finding a heat sealer/knowing which thickness of element to use as these sealer in this video tend to have 2mm elements as standard. I'm looking for a heat sealer to seal a Mylar bag, the type that isn't transparent when held up to the light/Matt silver in colour fill with a small amount of liquid (30ml) which then goes into the post and hopefully not bursting at any point. Can anyone she'd some light please? Many thanks
Would you recommend a sealer with a foot pedal? Also, were your bags pre-cut which allowed you to tear off the extra plastic of does your sealer have a cutter that I didn't notice in your video?
I have never used one with a foot pedal, but I don't see the need for that. Also, the heat creates the seal which can be torn off (while keeping the seal) right after you apply the heat. No need to get a sealer with a cutter.
No, the heat naturally makes it easy to peel off the excess plastic. But only right after the heat is applied. If the plastic dries, then it won't peel off.
Yet another great video I have found.. "Molly" just came in the mail a few days ago and so excited to finally get to try her out lol! I was just wondering though how we know what heat setting for the poly bags.... it's 1 - 8 to choose from and it looked like you turned yours as high as it would go and just that for everything. Also, it appears you are using the handle "twice" to form a better seal.. is that right? Thank You so much for caring to help others! Have a Blessed Evening.
@@fulltimefba They are not very thick at all... I do not think I am supposed to have burn marks so quickly after using it only 3 times... the whole rubber thing on the top handle already brown and the bottom part same and I only held it down for 3 seconds.
It's similar, but different. It's more on the industrial side (will last longer with multiple uses) rather than on the consumer side (will last ok until it breaks and can be replaced). Hope this helps.
Is this FBA or FBM return? You can set up resotcking fees for some items on Amazon. Just search "restocking fees" in Seller Central. Otherwise, you can try to sell the item used like new (or collectible like new if a toy) to make some of your capital back on the sale.
Thank you! The sealer you are using in the video says uline, but the one on that comes up on the link does not. It is around $80. i have found others that look the same but less expensive. Any advice on what to get or what to stay away from? thanks
I have the impulse sealer. I unboxed it and plugged it in. Why doesn't it turn on? I didn't see anything in the instructions other than how to replace certain parts. What am I doing wrong?
Full-Time FBA lol, I figured it out yesterday thx... I was looking for the red light to come on when I turned it on... I had to laugh 😂😂😂 at myself! Thank you sir! Awesome tip for shrink wrap. Can’t you just use a blow dryer?
Hi there! I'm in the process of packaging a new food product using a heat sealer, but I'm having trouble getting the sealed line to be wide enough for my needs. I'm currently using a basic model and the seal line is only 1-2 mm wide, a very thin line, and even on the lowest setting, it melts through the plastic too quickly, resulting in an untrustworthy seal. I've considered using a non-stick barrier like Teflon to help spread the heat more evenly, but I'm not sure where to find it or what thickness would be best. Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to achieve a wider seal and one that burns through less quickly with my heat sealer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
You made this almost 5 years ago and its still a great video! I'd love to see an update on this. Greetings from Nicaragua, mate!
That is a small investment financially and in time with a very professional outcome. Awesome video, thanks so much!

Ben.... 2 years later you are making someone laugh LOL
lol
Quick and simple explanation, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU! I'm just starting and was hoping to figure out shrink wrapping for my items!
Good job, thanks man. I'm shopping for my first impulse machine and this really helped, nice and quick.
Bruh this is so easy I’m bout to apply for a job that requires heat sealing
This was quick and easy! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Just what I wanted to know. 👍🏼
Great video and great information
this is the first time i see shrink wrapping, wow mindblown o_O, that's looks easy,
, thank you for sharing this
Great demo, Stephen!
Thank you for your good info.
Very helpful video! Thank you so much!

What type of plastic are you using for the shrink wrapping
Here is a list (with links) of all the tools I use in my shipping station (including the shrink wrap): fulltimefba.com/shipping-station
Much appreciated for the video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you good video
Thanks
for cereals such as whole or powdered grains, what type of plastics are suitable?
What purpose are you asking this question for? I want to be sure you get the most helpful answer for your goals.
Your video is very helpful to me, thanks a bunch!
How would you use this machine to cover the head of a golf club?
Thank you very much
You are welcome
Good work
hello, how are your poly bags standing on the side of your desk?
That is shrink wrap, not polybags - more details: www.fulltimefba.com/the-optimized-full-time-fba-work-shipping-station/

Do you use the FS 300 and do you need to replace parts often.
I currently use this one and have for a few years... no replacement parts needed for me: amzn.to/4cKdCsZ
@@fulltimefba thank you! Do you use Pirate Ship shipping? If so, have you had postage adjusted when it hit the USPS?
@@LaurelChinnRealEstate-Fairfax I do not... but anytime USPS adjusts postage is if you enter in the wrong weight or size of the box.
Need a bigger one than this tiny toy. I need one to seal a big bag for my portable ac for future winter to store it
You can look for a bigger one, or can use a smaller one and just seal it in increments until the whole item is sealed. Just an idea.
Would you recommend a sealer with a foot pedal? Also, were your bags pre-cut which allowed you to tear off the extra plastic of does your sealer have a cutter that I didn't notice in your video?

Question about the centerfolds, they are 75 guage / .75 mil. the minimum is now 1.5mil. how do you get around that?

Polybags come in different thicknesses, so you just need to play around with your settings on which one works best with the thickness of your bags.

how can i be your student
Where do you buy the poly bags from?
I buy them directly from Amazon. Here is a link to my supplies: www.fulltimefba.com/the-optimized-full-time-fba-work-shipping-station/
Maybe ask where you get the shrink wrap on a roll..what's is it called please
Here is a link to the supplies I use: www.fulltimefba.com/shippingstation
You should get a poly tubing dispenser for your rolls. :)
How often do you have to replace the sealing part of that machine?
Maybe once a year... if that even. Most come with one or two replacements... so it lasts a long time.
Is this different from a Food Saver?
It's similar, but different. It's more on the industrial side (will last longer with multiple uses) rather than on the consumer side (will last ok until it breaks and can be replaced). Hope this helps.
Could you just use a flat iron to seal the plastic? Isn't that all the sealer is anyways? Just a hot strip?
Could be possible... I have no idea. Sounds like an easy way to ruin an iron. Be careful.
What do you do if a customer wants to return and the shrink wrap has been taken off?

I've used a few kinds in my 5 years of selling online. They all seem to work the same. Check reviews if you need help. amzn.to/2q4i6Wp
uline makes one with a cutter. it doesn't look like you use one. or did you? thanks
Melody Armbruster The cutter is just a gimmick and not necessary. If you use it right, you won't ever need a cutter.
Great video!
I know this was posted awhile ago. If possible, can you send a link to the Marvel book you're wrapping?
Thanks!
Here is a link to the book: amzn.to/2t8l9gu It's pretty cool.
I have the impulse sealer. I unboxed it and plugged it in. Why doesn't it turn on? I didn't see anything in the instructions other than how to replace certain parts. What am I doing wrong?
It activates when you press down on the sealer. And make sure your heat settings are not on zero. Other than that, you might have bought a dud.

Awesome tip for shrink wrap. Can’t you just use a blow dryer?
If I have open ended poly bags (that don't seal themselves), would using tape to completely seal it up be allowed under FBA guidelines???
That should work as long as the tape is strong.
Does it work on silk?
I have no idea. Sorry.
Do you poly bag items even if they are not new?
I usually only poly bag items Amazon says I have to.
no sound. what happened to it?
thank you so muchhhh!!!! ༼ つ ◕◡◕ ༽つ
Hw much?
Here is the link to the sealer on Amazon and you can find the price there: amzn.to/3LK23FZ
dude you should just get the shrink wrap bags then the heater shrink dryer. the Uline is waste of money
Sure, if you want Amazon to suspend your seller account.
Not a good presentation.
Thank you for critiquing my video from 7 years ago. I have improved a little since then. :-) Have a great day.
