Hey Hillbilly, I've been "onboard" since you started this journey. Enjoy, what a way to be with family and friends. They have been blessed to have you in their lives. Your generosity is evident, and you are going to create memories for all. "A MAN'S WEALTH IS NOT WHAT ONE HAS SAVED, BUT WHAT ONE HAS GIVEN". You are a wealthy man Hillbilly, God bless you all.
These videos are an inspiration. My drive for financial freedom and the ability to take longer vacations with my family is boosted with every upload you make. I appreciate it, and so does my family!
I wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos. I feel like I live vicariously through you obviously you have worked hard all your life you are able to enjoy these wonderful things. I really think it's wonderful. And what's more wonderful is how you share it with all of us, thank you for that
My countdown is on we leave 11-11-23, we are chartering with The Moorings just my wife and I. Hoping to start a new tradition, thanks for all the insightful videos.. Cheers!
Love the table in the ocean. And thank you for acknowledging "nature" when you have drinks in the water. It's gonna happen and all a part of recycling. LOL Keep having fun sir.
I want my retirement to be just like yours! 2.5 yrs and counting down. Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery ... can't wait to see day 2, 3, 4, ....
QUESTION👋: Curious what the smallest powerboat a "solo" motorboat or "couple" could use to visit/tour the BVIs... Have you seen much of say 20-30 foot smaller (1 cabin) power boats for those of us not ready to spend the big bucks yet 😊 LOVE to get your thoughts on that issue ⁉
Mmmmmmmmmmm, painkillers followed with the Rub Bar......what could ever go wrong?!?! LOL We had a comical paddleboard incident when our two friends kept falling in......yes, people were recording. 🤣👏
Not much anchoring in the BVI due to lack of sandy bottom and rocks. there are spots but not many. all bars take cards...cash too but prefer cards. thanks!
@@thewanderinghillbilly thanks! We’ll be down there the last week of October. Appreciate the journey you put us on and the time it must take editing all that footage!
Great video as usual. Question for you, what route method do you and your people to fly to get to the BVI? What airports, mainly.. I'd be starting in DFW.
That has got to be one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen. Ethereal, like walking around in a golden cloud. "Hooker, the good kind" (There's a bad kind?) -jk
Me: Hey Doctor I just saw an advertisement for a new blood pressure prescription, can you write it up for me so insurance covers it? Doctor: Sure, what is it? Me: An extended vacation to the BVI! Probably the only thing that will work...... He was not amused but I thoroughly enjoyed your video so there is that at least. Pretty sure just watching and dreaming lowers my bp a bit, so thanks!!!
Actually most of the sail charter boats are under power…..lol…Your providing wonderful experiences for people…you really need a full time mate aboard…..
Notice I didn't mention power...I just said Sailboats. which can generally only go 5-8 knots under power...whereas I can speed up to 25 knots. so the less powerful get right of way. thanks for watching!
Great episode. I'm so bummed as our visit to Tortola on October 25 has our cruise ship in port from 7am-3pm. No sunsets for me. I've made note of the Rum Bar, I need to try this. Hope we run into each other at Soggy Dollar that day. Cheers!
@@thewanderinghillbilly We will be on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas in Tortola Oct. 25th from 7am-3pm. Had a near disaster in that I got a notification from Royal that our tour operator for our excursion to JVD cancelled. Luckily there are 3 other couples and friends of ours from Cruise Critic that had booked the same excursion. So we decided to charter a boat from Chillout Charters to take us over to White Bay. Crisis averted. I would love to meet you if you happen to be at the Soggy that morning. Love to talk about our careers in Broadcast television and life in the BVI. Cheers from Sea Dog from “Sea Dog Cruises Royal Caribbean” You Tube Channel.

Aquila 36. MarineMax. Will be perfect for 2. Thanks for watching!
Curious, do you have a little spotlight on the tender to get back to the cat at night after dinners?
I have a BIG spotlight. Don’t wanna get hit. Thanks for watching
You're not supposed to say the "Peeing" part out loud! We all know it but it's better left unsaid! 🤣🤣
I thought it appropriate to say....thanks for watching
Mmmmmmmmmmm, painkillers followed with the Rub Bar......what could ever go wrong?!?! LOL We had a comical paddleboard incident when our two friends kept falling in......yes, people were recording. 🤣👏
awesome. thanks for watching.
BVI should give you a percent of their tourism funding..you're a spectacular BVI travel agent 😂
Right??????? thanks for watching
Love your videos, what charting companies would u recommend and what time of the year is best to do it? Thanku for sharing
I use Navionics. Anytime except hurricane season!
This video "doesn't suck!" lol...
Nope!
Do you also anchor out the back when using a mooring ball? Also do many bars there prefer cash or credit cards? Thanks and this video does not suck!
Not much anchoring in the BVI due to lack of sandy bottom and rocks. there are spots but not many. all bars take cards...cash too but prefer cards. thanks!
Alan ❤ your content. Question as I plan my dreams….. How practical is it to captain your vessel on your own?
Good question! takes many hours of classes and practice and experience. best thing is to take some boating courses where you live. thanks for watching
Debating on the Aquila 44 vs 54, for captaining without a crew. Thoughts?
is Cooper open now?
Of course!
Any recommendation for who to use for a day snorkeling trip around BVI? Can’t quite afford the private charters yet
I don't really know that genre but your hotel or accomodations could help! thanks for watching

My wife just noticed your wife is standing on a step stool, we laughed because my wife is 5'1.
My wife is 4’11”. We live with step stools everywhere!
Your rear folding door is loose :-)

Fly in to St Thomas and take the ferry to Tortola.

I remember calling in a lunch order to Coopers over the VHF and them bringing it out to the dock.
Service!!! Awesome
Your buddy Greg , had the perfect lead in . When you said “ say hi Greg “ he should have said “ Hi Greg “ ! Oh well better luck next time !
