    I saw Angie showcase this before you Andrew. Always like an objective look at new products. I’m blown away by this. The bold styling and willingness to take risks is off the charts with this product. Definitely on my short list.

    Love the outside styling, looking like a clean Prevost body. The awnings on top make the outside look so much cleaner. Awesome looking coach!

    I once owned a Winnebago Journey, bought it brand new, best day with the coach was the day I sold it. Spent many nights at dealerships getting it fixed. In fact the Journey was mostly between Service Centers. I drove it to Forest City once and the wouldn’t even look at it. As you said Andrew nice paint, makes me think of the line “lipstick on a p**”. Needless to say, not a fan. BTW, why put a price and a discounted price on a prototype, perhaps just discuss the price range until they figure production out 🙄.

    Glad to see Newmar having an influence on Winni instead of the other way around. Should have painted the slideouts though, it cheapens the coach. Thanks for the video.

    You can’t beat a Winnebago and you can’t compare it to the silly priced RV that most of use will never see. I didn’t like the front layout but the rest was fantastic and looked beautiful. It was like you didn’t like it and you was determined to put it down ( just saying ) it looked fantastic on the outside and the inside. Well done Winnebago keep them coming like this 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻😎😎 ( still love ya Mr Steele 🤗 )

    Towels , and shoe rack in main wardrobe. Back one had outlets for stackable. Nice paint work ,. Not quite that full wrap around, still nice.

    I love Andrew’s videos. If you watch the video with the guy that headed up the design of this you would know. 1. How to close the cargo doors properly. 2. That the TV in the bedroom pull completely out so you can watch in bed without laying on your side. I’m not sure about the price, I have researched this coach quite a bit and think it’s awesome, have seen it shown at a much lower price point. Angie with NRVC has a 1 hour plus video in addition to the one by where the Winnebago guy shows it to a couple with give you the total scoop. I realize that Andrew just went through it at a show and couldn’t have known all the ins and outs. The new Journey is high on my list of possibles when I purchase later this year, and I have been looking at Newmar so far.

    The placement of the bedroom tv is just goofy. My neck aches just thinking about it. I agree with you about the push button baggage doors. The latch mechanisms encroach on the door openings. They will prove to be human skin collectors. It’s a pretty Coach inside and out though. At least Winnie is trying to compete.

    That interior is a game changer in the industry if you ask me - looks like a farm style home or a mountain cabin. I like it. Side radiator, very nice front and rear caps, big awning. Pushbutton doors are a solution that didn't need solving - but central locking/unlocking would be more valuable I'd bet. I like it - can't wait to see the 40-foot floorplan. But, yeah, it is a Winnebago. Pricing says they want to play with the luxury coaches, yet that name is not known as a player in that market. Quality and reliability need to be equivalent to others at the price point, or this will be a flop. I hope to see success.

    I like the outdoor styling. Definitely could see the European Newell influence.
    Seems like a small detail but they really dropped the ball in not painting the inside slide of the slide outs. Makes it look like a lower tier coach.
    Hard to tell in the video but curious if it has a flat floor with no carpet in the slides.
    Great video as always Andrew

    The door buttons and interior latches would drive me nuts, how long will the stapled together pantry slide cabinet stay together, and the bedroom barn door was definitely a way to slap something together fast and cheap.

  • @JoePatABC
    @JoePatABC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anytime you see "vented" (slatted) doors on a closet/wardrobe it's an indication that the coach IS at least prepped for a washer and dryer. The vents in the doors are the key and they're there to allow heat to escape the enclosure. That's a really nice coach but unfortunately, at the 377k MSRP I'm seeing, the typical sale price wouldn't be competitive with others like the Nautica, in it's class.

      Agree do not like the layout of this coach at all. I can't believe they're only making this one size and Floorplan. Bring back the 42e Floorplan then that what be a reason to upgrade our 2015

    • @usmcr3049
      @usmcr3049 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joannevansciver7801 they are making 3 or 4 floorplans for the Journey, including a 40+ foot one. I like this floorplan for just me and my wife and one small dog. I wish the bathroom was larger, but really the overall size of the rig and how it is laid out fits us great. MSRP is steep, but take off the standard discount and it is a $250k coach.

  • @jeffcampbell884

    I gave it a thumbs up because you did an excellent review, but the coach itself is a thumbs down. Taller coach on a short wheel base? The paint scheme is a winner, but the Ikea interior is lacking. I've stayed in hotels in Japan that was more workable than this. Just at first glance it's over priced, that first number should be a 2 not a 3. I'll stay with Newmar as long as they still stay stand alone.

    I’m pleasantly surprised!
    Winnebago has been a disappointment to me lately, however I really like this interior. Very different. Instead of wood valances all around the window, a curtain rod and simple clean looking pleated curtains. I like it. Very modern looking with a twist. It has a very residential look to it, like walking into a small condo. Closet too n barn door. Bathroom mirror multi functional, nice. 3 colour interior choices, nice. 🥰 cheers 🍻

    Nice review. It's a lower-mid level diesel pusher. Nothing at all wrong with that. Styling is different. I like the interior, Not a fan of long slide outs. Would like to see the construction. I assume a fiberglass roof? Big plus is the side radiator. Push button bay doors are a negative. Def tank fill needs to have outside access. Thanks for the video Andrew.

    seems the best I can remember Winnebago has bought a lot of its competitors out of business several years ago. I guess if you can't build a better product then you should buy your competitors out of business ? I have found a winnebago at a great price but kind of scared of owning one. Mr. Steele can you or anyone else shine a light on this for me ?

    What I don't understand is Winnebago discontinued the Horizon because the more modern Euro look didn't sell. So now they release the Journey which goes back to a more modern look however, not Euro per say. I think they should have given the Horizon more time to catch on. I really liked the new style with grays, whites, and blacks vs the old dark cherry cabinets, etc.

What would stop someone from buying the class A vs a smaller RV. its confusing. can you make a video or shed some insight for someone interested in buying an RV but the prices are all over the place. thanks great content.

    That's a super nice looking coach. Looks like Winnebago is firing on all cylinders... Think they are going to definitely benefit in the tech dept from purchasing Newmar. Agree on the New Aire comparison....and thumbs down on the push button baggage doors. And why does everyone put the fresh water connection so close to the black and gray water outlet. Have noticed this on a lot of coaches lately .. especially some Super C's.

    An excellent detailed presentation! For the price, the seatbelts should be integrated and have dual monitors. The bedroom TV could be a televator by the window, or within the dresser. A lot of innovator ideas, however, the website does not offer any options with this model. Very odd! It getting to look like a luxury model, but not fully there. Newmar New Aire and Tiffin Allegro 35CP and Discovery LXE 25th Anniversary Edition are clearly in the luxury class. I will a wait a few years before purchasing this new Journey model. Best, Steve & Deb from Western Mass.

    Interesting layout for sure, but not seeing the it being worth that big price tag. under $300k seems more reasonable. In regards to the closet it looks like they gave a adjustable hanging rack so you can double your hanging space and the other piece of metal looks to be for shoes.

    Looks like the Journey is trying to compete with the Newmar New Aire-short diesel pusher. If you are cooking you would not be able to have the television elevated out of fear of splatter getting on the television because it is VERY close to the cooktop. Also, because there is no dedicated kitchen counter space, you will have to have the television down to utilize the counter space while you prepare the meal. I would say it is competing with Newmar New Aire. Big fan of the woodwork.

    Another coach that requires two stages to fill both diesel and DEF at a truck stop, (I really dislike doing that but not nearly as much as the customer behind me... what a pain). The side radiator at this level of coach is nice. Tallness at that length may not be a plus but a negative in handling on the road. No back ladder... again. For myself, it has more going against it that for it at this point but I’d look again when it is no longer a ‘prototype’...

    Andrew, you are too nice. This Winnebago RV is 👎. But, I thank you for introducing this RV. When I shop for an Motorhome, I wont have to waste my time looking at this model. So much wasted space and because of that, tiny kitchen space and small bathroom, then there is that weird tv placement in bedroom, wobbly drawers when opened, small batteries for an no propane coach, and why is the satellite receiver and the house fuses in the baggage bay? Also, who needs push button electric baggage bay opener switch? More things that can go wrong and talking about going wrong, it almost broke during filming of the review. Only thing good on this coach is the side mounted radiator for easy engine access and maintenance, and the Aqua Hot system.

    I would be more impressed if it had a 450 hp engine line the Newmars.
