I didn't know this range! People could be bringing Squats back! But... Way cooler than they originally were! It totally looks fitting in 40K without any conversion!
I really enjoy watching your video's. I like your down-to-earth attitude, and your honesty. I've come a long way since I started painting mini's around 1989 (HeroQuest was what really got me going into the miniature-hobby, before that it were mostly cars and planes :-D ), and I recognize SO many of the steps you describe in your older video's (about just slapping paint on not caring about thinnign and washes, getting criticized, getting frustrated, giving up...)... Nowadays I'd like to think I am a pretty decent painter, and still EVERY day I learn something new. Best part: I never dared to start using an airbrush, until I watched one of YOUR video's about using them. Had to tell myself all over that it's okay to be unsure, and just start using one, and learn by trial and error (imagine my first session where I had my pressure WAY too high, totally not getting why my paint flew all over the mini, NOT where I wanted it to be...) I'm 46 years old, and I just wanted you to know that you VERY RECENTLY inspired me and made me take that new step into airbrushing / trying new things to keep improving myself. To everyone else reading this: never give up, never stop learning, and NEVER fear to make a mistake (if that's even the right term for it...). Keep painting!
Any excuse to bust out the copper oxide. The old timey bronze and canvas diving suits might be a useful reference when you start applying it to the rest of the army. Looking forward to seeing what you do with that Minotaur(?) too
Been watching you since you converted and painted the Stormfeind and since then your vids have been my favourite thing to see in my recommended and they keep getting even better! Keep it up man this is awesome!

I'd love to see a time limited (24 hours or 1 week etc) painting challenge for your Kharadron Overlords like what Goobertown and other channels have done. Those are always really cool and inspiring and would be a good excuse to get them all painted up.

Haha, yeah, sometimes just looking cool isn’t enough. I mean, I get it, I try for realism when I can, but sometimes I want to just go nuts cause it’s fun :)
I don’t, and really because if I do I’ll get hit with copyright stuff, kind of a bummer, but I don’t want to risk it either even though I can dispute it. On another similar note, my band is planning some kind of ep for the channel, should be interesting :)
Personal preference of course, I think the pink and purple are supposed to be Barak’Nar KO? One of the sky ports, I think that ones the one you see most often. I would suggest that whosever ends up with this guy repaint those sections to look like whichever sky port they are going for, pretty small area to cover.

Wow! Just the dry brush step and you see the color popping back to life.
Yeah that silver highlight on the copper really pulls everything together. It’s a really cool look for gold too :)
That screamer pink has a luxurious velvety look with the wash over it. nice colour choice

I’ve used parts from this particular model on a 40k conversion before, it fits really well in 40k for sure!

Getting real good with that oxide. Nice paint job I like the variety of color on a mostly metallic model. Make everything pop.

If I didn’t get an airbrush I probably would have quit painting. It changed everything for me in the hobby. Definitely worth the investment!
