Woody & Ted should be very proud. The podcast is fantastic. It feels very authentic. Their integrity, compassion, and kindness shines through. Kudos gentlemen!
This one blew me away. To hear Jane Fonda talk about her activism and to give the other side of the story that I remember was in the public discourse was priceless! Her whole point of view is inspirational to me and very encouraging I feel I got to know Ms. Fonda a whole lot better after seeing this! I think Woody and Ted were especially good in this one too!

I do enjoy the visibly different vibe that Ted and Woody have. One is dressed for a mortage meeting at the bank, the other looks like he's ready for a day at the beach. The outdoor recording area also really suits Woody.
As a Vietnamese, I got goosebumps hearing the knowledge they know about my country like the war, Ho Chi Minh, and last but not least they understand the pov of Vietnamese people.
Just amazing!! "You're on the right side of history." Yes! Completely. This podcast made my day. I shared it to my Facebook page so I could rewatch it whenever I'm feeling hopeless and not resilient. Thank you!
I don't know if Conan came up with the idea to put Ted and Woody together for this podcast, but it's genius. One of the most interesting and funny podcasts I've seen in years. Well done guys. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow. She is some story teller. Am blown away at how she narrates all these old stories from the 50s and all. Also. lots of material there for a documentary we would all watch. Now this is a good podcast! Hosts very patient and not interrupting, also likewise blown away by the stories.
Great conversation. I can’t tell you how many arguments I had with my father at our dinner table about Jane’s trip To North Vietnam. I wish I had this conversation to share with him so he would have a better understanding of that time. What a life.
Fascinating conversation! Thank you for sharing this. I remember the photo in Vietnam. I knew back then that Jane’s side of the story was not being covered. Finally I know her version.
"You are the tragedy, we know why we are fighting", this statement sums up all conflict and sorta touches upon the idea that a war could be won before it is fought and also explains how "might" can be brought down with "right". I hadn't researched too much into Jane's life.....but anyone that puts in the effort and participates is the life of the party as far as I am concerned. At least she begins a dialog....and the intellectual details can be hammered out along the way. I hope you stay in great shape beyond the age of 100....LETS GO!!!
Jane is so right! I am 56 years old and just starting to figure out where my life should be going after years and years without an ore, Jane Fonda is magical! ❤
This talk concept is so good on so many levels and for me the go to for insightful meaningful discussion from artists who have something to say outside of the talk show circuit where they certainly don’t have the opportunity for intelligent interaction. This is a formula that really works. Jane eloquently delivers her insights on so many subjects, a real delight👌
I know I can’t believe I saw a story this week that she felt no one knew her until she met JLo and I was like WTH!!! I never knew JLo, I grew up knowing Jane Fonda!! Wish she knew or she knows she is a legend and she made herself and she is an icon in her own right. She doesn’t need anyone to flourish and shine. It’s the opposite, JLo knows she is blessed to have Jane in her life…. I would love to meet Jane!! She is such an amazing person!!! Love her! ❤️🙏🏽.
Good Vietnam discussion around 21:00. Before that, Jane talks about her arrest and jail experience in Cleveland in 1970. In March-ish, 1971, I saw Jane visit Bowling Green State when I was a freshman (later graduated from Kent State) in which she delivered an anti-war speech. Great overall, informative interview.
A remarkable woman with a deeply meaningful legacy. I admire everything about Jane Fonda, including her honesty and vulnerability. What a fantastic role model. With all of her accomplishments, Ms. Fonda still struggles with self-esteem. It just shows how deeply embedded childhood trauma can become. Resilience really is important. Thank you for a fascinating conversation. ❤️🔥
I have only listened to two of these podcasts, Laura Dern and Jane Fonda here. And both of them have been very uplifting insightful. I truly enjoyed them both. I will be listening to more great job.
Ms. Jane Fonda is living proof beauty has no age limits. I mean beauty in its true form i.e physically, intelligent, passionate about the world around her and so grounded. She is a philosophical person. Her approach of being better everyday is something we should all do in order to make the world a better place because were only passing through and its important to leave a positive footprint. I like how Ted, Woody and Ms. Fonda understand their privilege and use their fame to uplift the rest of us. Great interview I listened on my way to work and had to revisit the interview later.❤
Adore Jane Fonda. Appreciate (and share) her & Ted's environmental activism and passion on the topic over the years. However, the person doing the absolute MOST to protect the environment and mitigate climate change is the Vegan, Woody Harrelson. Simply by being vegan for decades, Woody has had a more profound positive environmental impact than Ted & Jane combined. Woody (as a longtime vegan -- a "real" one), you are MY inspiration. Thanks, #VeganFam.
I just adore her. Her activism is inspiring as heck and her way of explaining how she took more control of her life was a fantastic way of putting something. Thank you for this. She should be applauded for recognizing at such an early age the privilege given to her and to use it to her advantage. What a woman!!!
Wow. Thanks so much for posting this. Have always loved Jane for her activism and this is the first time I've heard her go deep into detail about her Vietnam activism and the photo of her sitting in the gunner. She's a legend. I could listen to her for days. Love to Ted and Woody too.
I just found this podcast, but it is my favorite by far. Ted and Woody are so authentic. And each podcast brings some new view of the people I've admired far so long. Absolutely wonderful
I love all of them!! Omg and Jane Fonda I have been watching, since her movie 9-5 and continue to watch her movies!! Love her to pieces!! Would love to meet her. Grace and Frankie, I wish had more seasons!! 😢. Way to go Jane Fonda!! 😘❤️🙏🏽
That’s how I was introduced to her, back in 1980 with 9 to 5.😃 Since then I’ve done a deep dive into her film career, especially during her time near the end of Old Hollywood. If you’re interested in seeing great performances by her, I recommend… The Chase with her, Marlon Brando & Robert Redford (1966). Hurry Sundown with her, Michael Caine, Diahann Carroll & Faye Dunaway (1967) and sadly this film is very topical today. And for a fun one, Barefoot in the Park with her and Robert Redford (1967). And of course like they talked about, Cat Ballou (1965).☺️
I've always loved Jane. I met her in 2005 on one of her book tours. She came to an existential church in Little 5 Points in Atlanta and talked about her memoir and signed copies. She was on crutches that day, recovering from hip surgery. When she signed my book, I told her how much I admired her and she reached out and took my hand. That meant so much. When I said goodbye and turned to go, I felt light headed and thought, Let me get out of here before I faint. 😂
I love you Jane Fonda! Thanks for taking one for the team! Humanity .In your case more than one. Love , love ,love Woody and Ted. The three of you in one podcast is humanity gold.❤

What a wonderful conversation! I admire Jane and it was great that Ted and Woody gave her this space.
That Commie lady who turned her back on us and who's only talent is being pretty?
I like that Jane pointed out the difference between optimism and hope.
I found that her definitions didn't quite match my internal understanding of the terms, but her explanation of how she uses them resonated deeply.

Yeah, it was great how she SOLD OUT American POWs....just like a good little useful idiot.
Well I love you.
If everyone said that there would be no more wars.
i found that so interesting! i had not known those details before.
Thank God there's a Jane Fonda.
Now that is a 80+ year old person that should be running for president
She is a Biden supporter. Biden is doing a great job despite the injuries to his policies of a Republican congress.
@Mattlock52 And just like a**holes everybody has one.
Wow! I watched to see Jane and am blown away with all the love and compassion shown by all.
Wow..I thought I loved Jane before. What an inspiration & icon

I didn't think I would enjoy her after all these years. I have also enjoyed her and her family.
She is amazing. I've never heard her have a conversation before. Thanks, guys.
A very thought provoking and deep conversion (with a Hollywood Legend!) about what makes someone fight a war their whole life on the inside, by fighting the wars on the outside.
It is easy to accept those who do not accept themselves, but it is hard for them to feel anything other than being unacceptable. And they fight for their right to be so.
Wars (including meditation) push feelings away, so that they come back stronger later. To embrace yourself is to give up fighting and accept.
There is no enemy greater, or battle fought harder, than a self vs a self. And there is no winner, as one consumes the other, unless you thank the pain and suffering each day until it becomes less.
Have always admired Jane and truly enjoyed this. My favorite part though wascthe very end when Jane said to Woody, "I wish I could understand you, I've tried from afar." This cracked me up. 😂
