I've been waiting 25 years for this, and i didn't even know it. These are the best miniatures from Battletech to date (from what i have seen, my stuff hasn't arrived yet, but i am excited). Well done Catalyst, and well done on this video! I have a feeling Battletech is going to get better as it gets bigger. It's going to be awesome to see these painted, and i like chili and cheese on my hotdog!
Those salvage boxes were more fun than I'd thought they'd be. I usually hate surprise packs like this, but so long as everything is good and you can buy everything in the packs, they're a lot of fun. I got a ton of Archers and clan lights, so I'm pretty happy.
That's the key I think, that no matter what you pull they at least look pretty. With MWDA not only were you mostly forced into blind pull, you were also statistically likely to pull something both ugly and useless. Now at worst you pull something you don't prefer to run.
I would say, you got an very good mix of mechs there. A bit jelly of that :D I had 4 Boxes. One Ice Ferret, Adder and a pair of direwolfs... Would have loved to get a Summoner. My favorite mech but I won't get mine until the dropship for wave two arrives. Forgot to order that box when filling out my pledge...
I totally skipped over Wave Two offerings to focus on Wave One. Now I wish I had kicked a little more in to some Wave Two stuff. I’ll probably wait for retail on that stuff (he says while re-opening his pledge manager).
@@ProbableKoz I hear you on that one... I just added the Clan Ad Hoc star for the kodiak, while thinking if I should just add a bloodnamed pledge for more mechs and stuff... The comguard mechs are soooooo nice looking. And I neeeed them to play on the tukkayid maps in style... My inner book-keeper is in shock about these ideas... XD
@@ProbableKoz vary cool! and so secretive , Congrats on your Canonization sir, and so fast! Also if its the novel i am thinking of , you and Tex, of Tex talks BattleTech are in the same book.
Luckily, these were a Boutique style release for the Kickstarter (and probably Cons). I think these were a work around for the agreement with Iron Wind and/or a solution for those who wanted single figures instead of Lance/Star/Level packs.
The biggest utility for these singles in the KS is in your pledge you get a set number of mech packs, but we've got packs of 4, 5, and 6 mechs. To make it more fair when picking a lance pack instead of a star pack, you get one free blind pull box. The comstar packs unavoidably give you an extra 6th mech for free. I don't foresee blind pulls being a regular product in retail. We absolutely want people buying the pre-defined mech packs.
@@ShimmeringSword I am very much honored that you watched my video. I think the blind pulls are great and if you're able to, I'd keep 'em around for like Black Friday/Cyber deals or for Cons. Big Brain Probable Koz was also thinking that you could have a random sealed "Batchall" tournament. Each player brings/buys a blind pack for the event and just runs what they pull in the pack.
It’s not that you’re wrong to think the Mad Cat is the best ever, it’s that it’s not at all interesting because it doesn’t have any flaws that require skill to play around. Objectively it stomps everything, subjectively that makes it pretty boring and annoying to play against. Nobody who says the Urbanmech is the best is really being serious, it’s a meme at this point.
You mechs are falling down quicker then they did in Tukayyid.
SHOTS FIRED! SHOTS FIRED!

They really are the best to date. I hope it does. It deserves to get bigger.

I was super happy with them. I have a ton of crap to paint.

The Urbanmech falling out easily sums up that mech.
I thought so too.
SHADOW CAT!!! That is my favorite mech. My first experience with the setting was MechWarrior 3, and I always performed best in a Shadow Cat.
Nice haul! Super jealous of the Marauder! I’m working on putting together the Gray Death Legion and am hoping to be so lucky as to land this ‘Mech.
6:06. Freebirth.
I will forgive your... miss-naming of the Timberwolf only as a snub to the Wolves. Lucky.

Direwolf is pretty popular if you got to Battle for sale or trade on FB you may be able to find someone who will trade you straight up.
Congrats on getting your Wave 1 stuff and getting canonized by Pardoe in the same week!
Thank you! I bought the book last night and finished it three hours later. It looks like I need to start a Clan Wolf Cluster.

Still waiting for my box in South Africa. It's in a warehouse 15 minutes from me and I can't get it.
Holy cow. That must be torture :(
Nice haul!
I was worried I'd end up with random mechs I'd never use.
Supper jelly of the summoner #2 for me
It looks so good!
I would never boo on Liao... orbital bombardment is a different story though.
This man gets it.
So was the Dopamine hitting you like the Word of Black Hits a noncompliant planet ?
Masterfully said. Yes. Especially with the MAD CAT MAD CAT MAD CAT

So did they come by mail FedEx or UPS?
FedEx. I got mine 3 days after initial notification.
Uh oh getting some Dark Age booster pack vibes. That didnt end well for the franchise last time that happened...
