I did most of the items on the list when I traveled to Montreal, and I wasn't disappointed in any of them. And, I found Montreal to be great for tourists in regards to getting around by walking, bicycling, and public transit.
IMPORTANT !!!!! Before visiting Montreal make sure you lose at least 0.5 lb per day you plan on visiting! The food is simply amazing. This could be the foody capital of the world!
It's easy to forget how beautiful our city is when you live here. I love watching these videos even though i've seen everything in this video dozens of times
Montreal is the canadian capital of culture, architecture and history . If you like history, please visit the museum of archeology in the Old Montreal ...high tech museum , interactive and impressive .... Montreal is also a UNESCO city of design ( 40 cities in the world) and # 1 most sustainable city in the world with largest urban parks in Canada , Montreal is the 3 rd largest aerospace center in the world after Toulouse and Seattle , best universities in Canada , best biking city in North america ..
Great video my friend. 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing this. We moved to Mexico 2021 from Canada. It was our dream for 12 years to retire here in Mexico. Cheers to everyone reading this. ❤✌🏼
Best place to visit in Montreal is the airport or the railway stations so that you can get back onto a train or an airplane, and go to a different city.
Just a little trivia: the Bruce Willis/Richard Gere movie 'The Jackal' was partially filmed here. The ending sequence of Gere chasing Willis through the underground subway was filmed at the stop 'Lionel Groulx'. Also the opening sequences of 'Once upon a time in America' were partially filmed in Montreal.
Fantastic video! The vibrant beauty of Montreal shines through in this stunning 4K footage. A great showcase of the city's top attractions and a wonderful virtual tour for anyone looking to explore Montreal's wonders. 🇨🇦🏙🎥
There is an archeology and history museum in the ild Montreal ... interactive and one of the best in north america ... Mount Royal observatory is worth visiting
My Aunt lives in Canada not sure what part of it. My Mum was to visit Canada on a Family holiday 2023 but changed her mind to visit her Sister. Mum doesn't like to fly overseas. I never met my aunt but hopefully one day I will.
Good luck! Impossible to drive in the city as the traffic is murder. Make sure you plan to get to the airport at least 5 hours before as it takes 2 hours just to get to the terminal if you have to get there between 2-6 pm. Morning flights are ok. Winter ? You better be ready for some of the coldest weather on the planet. Not kidding here especially January and February. Winter starts in earnest December and lasts all the way to first week of April. Summer can be wet and humid. Downtown is no longer what it used to be with many store closures.
Me and my sisters and her kids are planning to visit montreal from Boston Massachusetts and i have not been there since i was teenager.. Also i am going to visit my moms side of the family since my mom passed my away. I promised my aunt that i want to visit them to honor my mom.
Was just in Montreal a month ago and did a lot of the stuff on this list. I loved it, beautiful city, friendly people, great food (though the best restaurant I ate at was in Trois Rivieres like an hour away, still Montreal has great restaurants). I actually wish I could live there.
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video from Montreal, Canada in July of 2023❤❤❤I wish you the BEST for these remarkable videos across the globe in 2023❤❤❤
Good basic video. FYI the market you show is not the Jean Talon Market but rather the Jean Brillant Market. Much much smaller, but great prices. I shop here along with the locals. Jean Talon Market much larger and more touristy. Still great to visit.
Montreal is also on the top best cities for biking in the world , you can also surf on the St-Lawrence behind the Habit 67 complex . the Kondiaronk Belvedere on Mount Royal park offers the best view of the Montreal skyline ... i noticed some pictures on your video are dated ... the Montreal downtown in 2023 has more skyscrapers .
Montreal is such an amazing city. So much to do compared to Edmonton. If I were to move out east, I'd move here. I'll take it over Ontario and even the east coast.
I once snuck into some lab at the botanical garden years ago. I was looking for a bathroom, found an open door and just went exploring. I was convinced I caught some weird disease after I left.
If by chance anyone should get wounded while in a foreign country country, don't most hotels have first aide?just basics like peroxide, antibiotic creams&bandaides?
Is this video AI? What is all this reading and random footage? The footage of the Jean-Talon Market is from Jean-Brillant Market in a whole other neighbourhood. If you visit, make sure to do Mile End, Plateau Mont-Royal, Little Italy and the following streets: St-Denis, St-Laurent, Mont-Royal, Laurier. And much more!
Yes, I would say that it's child friendly. The Old Port, Mount Royal, Lachine Canal (where you can rent an electric boat at H2O Adventures across from Atwater Market), Parc Jean-Drapeau (has a nice walk-in outdoor pool), & the Olympic Park (where there's the Biodôme) are all family friendly places to visit.
Notre-Dame is a Basilic not Cathedral. The Cathedral is on René-Lévesque boul, and called ''Marie Reine du Monde '' an Exact replica of St-Peter of Rome ( but 1 /10 the size. Montréal is NOT biligual BUT many do speak english.
Montréal is not a bilingual city, since most of its inhabitants are bilingual. Montréal is a French metropolis due to its municipal charter. Moreover, the official and common language of the province of Québec is French, the only French-speaking province in Canada. On the other hand, Québec is the most bilingual province in the country, although there are two official languages. However, as tourists, it is recommended for a warm welcome from Québécois, generally of a warm nature, to know some forms of greetings and politeness in French, as it is customary to do everywhere else in the world: if in Rome, we do like the Romans, in Montréal, we do like the Montrealers. Unfortunatelly, for English speakers, Montréal gastronomy seems to be limited to its bagels from Mile End, its poutine from La Banquise or smoked meat sandwiches from Schwartz, which are more in the category of junk food than anything else. There are over 5,000 restaurants in Montréal, some of which are listed in the best restaurant guides. Enjoy your stay in Montreal!

I living in Montreal since 2004
It’s so amazing city for all kinds of people specially new immigrants ❤
Nice, I'm from Ghana Africa and I want to migrate to Canada also
How do immigrants buy property now? There is a ban at the moment unless you are a citizen.
There are only immigrants in Montreal making the native people a minority.🤣

recently I've been hearing people are facing crisis in Canada, price hike, housing crisis etc. what's your opinion?
@@jeby1425Quebec is one of the least affected provinces. but it's still happening, mostly in rent - meat/dairy has also seen a scary increase
That ain't a high bar to start with.
Montreal is overrated

Don't worry folks there are many many english people still in Montreal❤😊❤

The big dome on Ste-Helene's island is actually the American pavillon from the expo. The casino building was the French pavillon.
Good
The footage of Jean-Talon market is wrong you are showing the Jean-Brillant market which is much much smaller and in Cote-des-Neiges

Don't waste your time waiting in line for Schwartz. Go to the Snowdon deli then visit St Joseph later. Explore cote de neige neighborhood

It doesn’t matter what area of the world I search: Island Hopper has a video 😊
where do you take the river ferry?
In the old port. It leads to old Longueuil marina on the south shore which is a nice little place to spend half a day.
All that is nice . now talk about where to park ;)
Montreal is a great baseball city without a baseball team.
🎉❤
what to do in MTL take the train and go to Quebec! :)
Go to Gare Centrale
That was not the Jean Talon Market!! That was the Tiny food shop in Cote Des Neiges on Jean Brillant. 😒

yes thank you i was looking for someone who clarified that
It would have been nice/respectful if the narrator attempted French pronunciation of the place names.
Which are your favourite (affordable) restaurants in Montreal?
@@David_Polak Yeah honestly I don't go out and eat at a restaurant pretty often but if your airbnb is in the neighbourhood called Rosemont you should definitely consider eating at La Boulette. It's a nice affordable restaurant, not the most gastronomic stuff of all time but very tasty still
I refuse to learn French that's just racist to demand
👍🏻
Reading the comments, I have to wonder just how bad it is everywhere else that people would want to come to Montreal for the summer.
Very sad.
I'm from Indonesia attending
damn didnt know that i can do all that in my city.
i miss Montreal poutine😂😂
