- After a successful live debut at Wacken Open Air and Hamburg Metal Dayz, Beyond the Black are going on tour this winter!
Together with SAXON, Beyond The Black will play 10 dates throughout the UK.

Neven H. You have to remember, it was their debut performance. I doubt a single person actually knew them well enough to get into it. Also, they ARE quite poppy, so some are probably not sure how to take it at first. I was at first a bit turned off, as she uses almost 100% pop techniques over a basic Melodic Power Metal. It's nice enough though, and she definitely has talent. They certainly are good live (although this particular livee clip is dubbed)

+Matthew Cowell I'm honestly not sure about that. If it is, then they've dubbed all the other Wacken videos too - which is a bit annoying really. Other (fan-shot) videos suggest that her voice is that good live, although often the overall sound quality isn't that good. Anyway, if you haven't done so already, check out the live video of her performing Whole Lotta Love. She really is very good.

They merge the live track with the studio track, so it has elements of both.
@@matthewcowell They're using her backing harmonies (only where they are there) as well as backing instruments here and there. Apart from that, if you've heard the album properly, you'll know this isn't dubbed. She's been singing on shows since she was a kid. So she's just that good live.
I listen to Metal from more than 30 years (yes, I remember very well when Metallica released Kill' Em All) but from some time now I'm disappointed with the monotony of the current musical panorama. When I saw this video I couldn't believe this was their debut show. I'm listening to their debut album from the moment it was released. May the Gods of Metal bless them so they can keep on going with all this superb sound for many years.

The singer is GORGEOUS and has a TREMENDOUS VOICE! I hope they go far! The crowd must have been sedated before the concert because I’ve seen more emotion from a cadaver!

das Problem wird eher sein, dass BTB zu diesem Zeitpunkt niemand der Anwesenden gekannt hat. Ist wie bei Konzerten mit den Vorbands, die man nicht kennt.
TheBockwurschtbude Dieses Problem ist schon seit Jahren auf dem W:O:A bekannt, da ist tote Hose, außer wenn die Band aller ´ner halben Stunde mal zum klatschen aufruft. Um ehrlich zu sein schämt man sich für sowas, riesige Massen, wo am Ende mein Furz lauter ist als 80.000 Mann...Die besten sind immer noch die, die wegen 1er Band dort hin fahren und am selbigen Tag noch abhauen, weil so ne Wacken karte billiger ist als ein Rammstein Konzert...

Warst du eigentlich jemals auf Wacken?! Dort ist Stimmung auch wenn die Bands einen NICHT auffordern. Neue Bands die nicht so bekannt sind tun sich immer schwer. Aber wenn ich dass lese, was du geschrieben hast, muss ich mal sagen: Schau dir Wacken an oder geh live hin. Dann wirst du sowas nicht mehr sagen
Sinah Hennewald Einige meiner Freunde gehen zum Wacken und sagen mir da ist tote Hose in gegensatz zu den Festivals wo ich hingehe obwohl dort teilweise "nur" 2000-10.000 mann sind.

Ich bin relativ überrascht von dieser Band:
1. Meine Erfahrungen mit Nightwish und Co waren eher so..naja, ich sag es mal so, Frauen als Sängerin sind in meiner Musiksammlung selten, aber BTB finde ich wirklich Klasse
2. Sehr junge Mitglieder, die Sängerin ist grade mal 19 und liefert ab wie ein Profi, also das Talent wurde ihr in den Schoss gelegt
3. Für ein Debüt-Album wirklich ein Hammer, man merkt das die sich richtig an die Lieder dran gesetzt und mit ihrem Material beschäftigt haben. Die Songs sind ausgefeilt bis hinten gegen und auf dem Album auch gut abgemischt.
4. Kaufempfehlung, die Platte ist jeden Cent wert und zeigt das Frauen auch im Metal immer mehr Einzug erhalten, finde ich persönlich toll.
Fazit: Junge und gute Band, die weiß was sie macht und einem nicht irgendein Mainstreamrotz hinzaubert, sondern ein bombastisches, sogar mit einer Ballade angereichertes, Metal Album, was Spass macht und grade für Neulinge im Metal wirklich super anzuhören ist, einfach top!
Nächstes Mal wird bessere Stimmung kommen glaubt mir ;)

Ich hatte das Glück sie heuer in Leipzig zu sehen! War zwar früh am Nachmittag aber die brachten Stimmung ohne Ende! Geniale Band! Live echt sehr gut! Neuaufsteiger des Jahres für mich!

Best voice I've seen in a live video. Right up there with Floor, Simmone, Sharon and Charlotte. Don't know why I'm seing this just now but damn...glad I'm not missing out :)
Charlotte live is not that as good as she in in the studio, she gets nasal when her voice tires so I think Jennifer may be better in that regard. However what Jennifer lacks is stage presence, all those other women you listed know how to engage the crowd, especially Floor. I realize this is her debut and she is too young, I haven't checked any of their newer stuff I hope she has improved in 6 years.

Ich mag sie als Frontfrau wirklich. Stimmlich ist das toll und ein frisches Gesicht tut dem deutschen Metal wirklich gut. Aber der/die Songschreiber und der Lead Gitarrist sollten ausgetauscht werden.

nice..but the singer does not know what to do on stage (inexperienced)..As a front man you need to take the bull by the nose,remember the music is great but boring image to the audience,they were never sold..this is not putting the members down,but you need to engage the audience visually..just like food,the meal has to look nice to enjoy it fully.Good luck
