Intro Chorus for Songs of Love and Death made me tear up. It was pure and beautiful like nothing I've ever heard any of the major live singers do.

Absolutely amazing how Jenny and the rest of the band can keep up their energy levels considering how little crowd feedback they were getting. That shows a true passion and love for what they are doing.
Were they an opener for somebody else? Perhaps that was the issue. People who buy tickets usually interact very good so I suspect they must have been an opener.
Martin Strümpfer Japanese crowds are odd, they don’t show much emotion while the song is being played, make some noise then listen intently to any stage banter. If you gig there it takes a bit of time to adjust.
Japanese crowds are not like other crowds. They do not show their joy for music by crowd surfing and such. When it comes to Japan, the best applause you can get is none at all. It's a weird cultural difference, but does not mean the crowd didn't enjoy the show.
Check some Wacken concerts of this band. The crowd reaction is way worse than here.

Kann ich dir voll und ganz zustimmen, sie ist die beste Sängerin die Deutschland je hatte, ich hab sie mehrfach live erlebt einfach klasse wie sie abrockt

Yes she does but at the same time she looks so "normal", no tattoos I see, no crazy hair color, no piercings all over her face. She could pass for a nice church girl. :)

Holy chaperone! Discovered this band only a few hours ago and am so hooked, I looked up every concert cover i could find. They are absolutely gorgeous! Long live St Wendel! (for those who know where that is)
Also ich mochte diese Band von Anfang an, aber dieser Live-Mitschnitt ist der Hammer. Die Live-Performance ist deutlich härter als zu Anfang der Karriere. Mehr Doublebase, härtere Gitarrenriffs, allgemein absolut genial. Beyond The Black, macht weiter so.

Ja, dem kann ich nur zustimmen.fast schon schade, das diese Dynamik und Härte von" beyond the black" bei den Studioproduktion etwas zu kurz kommt und damit das Potenzial der Band etwas untergeht.

All the best bands are underrated
Because, a great many people wouldn't know good music if it knocked them in the head. The record labels feed people this pop crap and people eat it up because they are told its good music. Beyond the Black, Nightwish, Ice Nine Kills - all very under-rated bands yet IMHO three of the top bands in existence right now.

Because of bad marketing.... this is definitely the kind of music I really like and I did only find out about because they will be playing in my town this summer - naturally the concert was booked out when I came across it. A shame because they play in my hometown and are from a city I lived in for many years.

I find it really interesting how singing can kind of cancel out any accent. She's German, but singing, you could never tell. Same for just about any other singer from wherever they may be.
True. But also when she speaks in english her accent is not strong at all.
The new constellation of musicians performed the songs with more energy compared to the studio album. I was also expecting more songs of the second album, but all the albums are platinum hits!

They were before Within Temptation last week and I must say, they sound much better live than from recording. Jenny is a beauty, her voice is really good, and the vocalist with the guitar is a beast with his voice. The drums are also dominating sometimes, and their riffs are cool! I was impressed. But I did not get the same feeling with studio recordings. :D Anyways, all the best for them! Good performance!
BTBs new album is way better than WTs in my opinion and I'm a huge fan of both groups.

So genial. Die erste Band mit weiblicher Sängerin die ich jetzt schon 3 Stunden begeistert anhöre. Ansonsten habe ich Nightwish immer gerade so gelten lassen. Tolle Kombination von weiblicher Stimme und Musik. Besonders die männlichen Gesangseinlagen. War bei Eluveitie da hat der Sänger sich zu viel eingemischt 😉
Ich durfte sie als Support bei Epica und Powerwolf erleben und da waren sie der Hammer.....Leider nut 30 MInuten, die hatten es aber in sich!

Heaven in Hell is a classic track. And she really can sing. I still want to know what happened with the full band transplant though. Very odd.
The old band was just comfortable where they were, Jenn wanted to expand and reach out broadening physically and musically.

The band quit after album was released worldwide. New to me as well. Sngwriting more like Delain. Jenny is a new voice to add to my list of superb rock vocalists! Bought double album. Not a fan of new lead guitarist. He`s sloppy and adds little to songs when soloing. Otherwise great show video!
Put Taylor Swift to shame. Why is that this kind of music is so underrated and the radio crap is winning awards . It is a shame.
