I lived in Hendersonville for several decades. I used to go to that library and the one before it. It is a beautiful building. I am simply astonished to hear this about my former beloved family home. What an embarrassing incident and inexcusable behavior. I am so happy that I moved to Florida!
It would be useful to contact the library you used to enjoy and tell them how awful their behavior and policies are. If people don't respond and shame them (that's what it requires) for their outrageous response, it'll never change. Please, please consider doing that.

I love you folks for your love for Jesus Christ and his love for us. Some people don't understand that and then become confrontational. Peace, joy, and love in the context of the Bible and what Jesus said about the little children. The apostles rebuked the parents for bringing the children to Jesus and Jesus said don't forbid the little children to come to him. And so, Jesus laid his hands on them and he prayed for each and everyone one of them. He prayed for them...Thanks be to the Glory of the Lord, Hallelujah!!
I heard Missy speak several years ago at a Hearts at Home Conference.
She and the leaders at the conference walked past my sister, my cousin and I and we all waved and said hello.
Our cousin was going through a really tough time with her kids and she really needed that conference.
I thought about asking Missy and the ladies for some prayer right there, but I hadn’t.
All in all, God worked it all out! The conference was such a blessing!

People who do not feel secure enough in their self and their belief system (even if you insist that you “don’t believe”, that’s a belief system), and cannot even allow others to reach out and help their brothers and sisters. It used to be a tenet of psychiatry and psychology that you did more harm by enabling someone’s delusions, even if it was with noble intent. It needs to be okay to tell someone that they’re wrong, but then always provide them with a path in a better direction. Reality is often a cruel teacher, but by arming someone with truth, and by supporting them on their way, we will do more for people and society than by pretending that simple reality does not exist if we will it so.

If they preach involvement, then a of course THEY have to get involved. There are 200000 pastors in America. Do 200,000 pastors show up at rallies and protests? Never. It's shameful. Congregants need to start demanding their pastors lead the flock. The Black Robe Regiment pastors led our country to win the Revolutionary War. It's time America's cushy, complacent pastors get off the couch and get out into society.

There's a such thing as righteous anger. Jesus turned the tables over and used a whip. He wasn't always quiet and self controlled. He did say, He only says what His Father says and He does what His Father does. Christians mind set has been too passive and that's why we are where we are today. God is love but he's also justice.
Some families out here would love to read them, but can't afford them. That's why we need our libraries to have them.

Find out those people's names/ identies and create a local petition which demands they be fired for refusing to provide Library services to the community.

Unfortunately our society is in a decline, I'm not a overly religious person but I do believe in God and I do believe in people's rights and beliefs,but there are those that are pushing those beliefs to places that the vast majority of people do not agree with.
