I have been working on a Disneyland Minecraft project since 2011, and this ride is a ride I added back. I recently set it to be active during the day, and the track changing at night to display the rocket rods.

Hoping that one day, Disneyland will restore the Peoplemover. Love the video and your voice is great and rather soothing. Thanks for covering this topic. Take care and stay safe. :D

People Mover, especially at DL, is a top 5 al tone favorite attraction. And only the Train and Monorail reflect Walt as well as the people mover. Love it. Want it. Yesterday already

TomorrowLand is a hot mess. It is a real shame. They need to raise all of the land (except for Space Mountain) and reimagine it, with a new People Mover.

would love for it to return but the rocket rods damage some of the support columns and the new building codes would be a extensive and costly rebuild tomorrow land would look like EPCOT construction nightmares

Its not the first time an attraction hung around closed before Disney got rid of it. Sub Voyage in Florida for example. They may want to bring it back and are hanging on to it while trying to decide what to do with it. Id say its probably 50/50 that it comes back. Since it winds through tomorrow land, they may have some other updates they are looking at (carousel of progress/America sings building) that needs updating or removal and has to be done first since the track goes inside the building. We probably wont hear much of anything till those other things are figured out. Things wont be “figured out” till they come up with a new movie that it really successful where they could incorporate it into Tomorrowland. I think the movies Lightyear and Tomorrowland were those attempts and didn’t do so well. Similar to Disneyland’s Sub Voyage where the 2001 movie Atlantis, if successful, was going to be the basis for its re-theme, till it flopped. Fortunately Nimo did well otherwise we would have lost the Subs. Too bad Florida didn’t hang on a little longer.. I think we ha e to wait and see what new movies come out that fit or could fit Tomorrowland and see how well they do. If good, then i think we will be hearing some good news soon after. But its funny, the Peoplemover wasn’t really all that popular when it was operating… Only after it closed.. It was a short line used when everything else was a few hours long and you could sit and relax for 15 minutes.I don’t think Disney really liked it being used like that and wanted to juice it up (RocketRods) and make it popular for the right reasons. I think they could redesign the Peoplemover vehicles to handle more guests, go a little faster than before and use the RocketRods track and get something going again. But im sure they are just waiting for a smash hit movie before thinking about touching anything.

No it can’t and will never, because it will be the same thing as the time in 1967-1997 where people died

I have been to Disney World many times. And have always wanted to go to Disneyland but I won’t go! I refuse to go until they bring back the people mover to DL! I just can’t imagine visiting DL without it! ❤️ this vlog!

I highly doubt it. And not because of the reasons you think. Disney right now is in a state of “we don’t do anything at our parks unless we’re shown up.” So… I doubt they’ll fix the peoplemover. The structural damage probably isn’t it, it’s the cost of the track being fixed. It’s gonna cost too much money, and Disney do not care enough.

Agreed, especially evident through their re-theming of the Splash Mountain.
