the word tevidiyal means a promiscuous woman lately but its actual and ancient or original meaning was a nun.
teva+adiyaal/adiyaar, adiyaars are spiritual activity servants...not the later meaning ..post krishnadevarayar era tevadiyals being exploited for sex..
similarly tapudharan means fire holder or the person who lit the fire (as if wife expired he wil be lite the fire) but this is only applicable for certain community and also restricted for cremation and if he is childless.
this word is not used or prevalent Tamilnadu.
