Glad to hear your son is doing better. I’m a future PNP ( actually taking boards next month lol) and my first thought was your son didn’t seem to fit the age range for this condition. I looked up the condition and found some interesting info. There’s a greater incidence in males than in females and 60 percent occur before first birthday and 80 percent by 2 years. Thank you for sharing, the video was very informative. ❤

Glad you learned something! It was definitely scary, but I can say I am well informed about intussusception now!

Very curious when he complained about abdominal pain, during palpation was it point tenderness? Or did he have abdominal discomfort and during palpation like from the pressure. Curious because I had a similar case, but was not really point tender, but I gave ER precautions in need for abdominal US

Hey! So I would say it was more point tenderness. Initially, he had generalized tenderness on the RLQ and RUQ. He kind of had a hard time determining between the 2 areas. But within 12 hours of onset, it definitely became point tenderness at the RUQ. Interesting about your case. Abdominal pain can be tricky without imaging for sure. Were you able to follow up with your patient?
