For those who got lost during adding the Geometry comp, just RIGHT CLICK the output of the previous operator to add the Geometry. Dont just add it from the top menu.
Thanks! I've been building my stack of components steadily over the past year. It's great to watch these tutorials to find little tricks that will make whole scene completely different. TD is a great tool for visualising anything like the way DAW is for creating sounds, but more.
So wonderful these colored curling particels ! I wonder how it would be possible to turn it from 2D into a 3D sphere with metallic looking particels moving around

HEY! If your Camera Node does not have the same view as your Geometry Node scale down the Z vertice on your Translate tab to negative values, that should help.
@@h4lin823 yea, find some video like thath th-cam.com/video/Hu_81_WOlCo/w-d-xo.html u need part with audio analysis, then bind ur output audio processed signal to any knob in ur visual (chop reference)

audio input file - audio spectrum - analyze and add : op('analyze1')['chan1'].eval() as an expression to a parameter you want to animate with the sound. (that's the quick option) :) (analyze1 if it's the name of the analyze you used. same for the chan.)

At 6:00 if you want to have more control over the phase, create a: CHOP Consant -> CHOP Speed -> CHOP null and drag the CHOP null in the phase.

I seemed to fix the issue by putting a texture SOP infront of the particle SOP but my rendering is still black

Figured it out....dropped the geo OP in first and then reverse engineered the others in the front of the chain.

Seems like the non-working geometry module has a torus inside it, btu when you press tab and make it, it has an in and an out.... weird!

I recommend using the Movie File Export TOP. Just google it, it's pretty straight forward :)
