I concentrate on the people and fashion who made a silk purse out of a pigs ear following a miserable parade without them the day would have been a disaster
Hi I have now posted the Parade on utube as I have had many comments, so see for yourself. My opinion of the Parade as compared with the past was poor. and after th Parade there was nothing but to wander up and down. Yes many people were dressed inapropiate they must have forgot what Pickering is all about . As a re-enactor you must have taken a dim view of some of the people after your kind makes the day a great success, please do not stop with your efforts year next year . Regards Allan
I was there and took part as a re-enactor. I missed the parade, how poor was it? I lamented the significant proportion of people dressed in wholly inapropriate clothing for the period. Much of it bordered on the farcical fancy-dress approach. I feel that this tends to demeane the intent of the weekend. somewhat.
