Yes I definitely did buy a guitar based on the way the neck feels I bought a PRS Standard 24 in charcoal satin black in the neck feels beautiful like a good strat neck

I bought a used 2012 American Standard Strat for the same reason. The neck. It's red with a maple neck and I've since replaced the pickguard and added a bridge humbucker. Love it to bits.

A good neck truly is everything! I think that strat set the bar for me with necks, every guitar I picked up moving forward, I always paid attention to the neck first

My first guitar is a strat, a Yamaha Pacifica 012.
I have three other guitars, including a Telecaster American Special, but only the Yamaha feels like home. I know how to dial any tone in any circunstance with it.
I know it's the best guitar that I have, but I can't help it, it's my favorite one!
