May God bless you, Sayed Ammar. I live in a Sunni community, and my Islamic practice follows the Sunni tradition, but this year I feel the need to participate in commemorating Kerbela. May Allah ease your path although its never easy to follow the path of Ahlul Bayt (AS) but that which is full of hardship is sweeter than the easy path chosen.
Having discovered Sayed Ammar, I am sure he will bring many to the Ahlulbayt. I live though at least 100 miles 160 km from a Shia masjid.
May Allah swt give you strength and steadfastness to remain on the aqeeda
Peace be upon you, o'beloved. If I am not mistaking we call it Imam Baragah or Hussainya in farsi, and etc typically that is where we do the events and etc, however masjid is kind of the same where we both pray Salah. So I guess, it can be classified as a masjid only. If I am not mistaking, May God guide us both to the siratul Mustaqeem amen.

What a powerful sermon! A pity I had never heard or read it before. And to know that Imam Hussain (as) gave several other sermons before and during the battle of Karbala...
It is a shame that these sermons are not easily available. Why aren't these distributed during majalis as pamphlets to adults and kids along with 'tabarruk' ? This sermon is not even that long! The sermons of Imam Hussain before and during the battle of Karbala must be taught and memorized by our children and youth. It would be the best text to read and discuss with children/young adults at home on the day of Ashura!
I feel embarrassed to have gone through adolescence and a good number of adult years without having a clue about the teachings of Imam Hussain in the time leading up to the battle of Karbala. Till now I had known Imam Hussain to be more of a passive figure. A mountain of patience who, on the day of Ashura, carried bodies of one loved one after another from dawn till Asr.
It is heartening to know that my Imam was dynamic and extremely proactive in his role as the Divine Guide, leaving no opportunity to knock sense in to the deviant army of Yazid.
It is deeply fulfilling to know the Imam left no stone unturned in identifying himself to the camp of Shimr/Umar bin Saad as the undisputed divinely appointed Imam of the time. Through his oratory, he lay bare the motives of each side and identify the party of God as being distinct from the party of Satan. He extended an open invitation to the army of Yazid to cross over to the side that would lead to heaven. He literally offered a free ticket to Heaven!
But Alas, a good many of them likely fell in the following category described in the Quran:
'(O Muhammad), howsoever eager you may be to show them the Right Way, Allah does not bestow His guidance on those whom He lets go astray; and in fact none will be able to help them ' 16:37
Tonight, my love for Imam Hussain (as) has acquired a new depth!

🌷1۔ مجلس عزا و جلوس عزا میں با وضوء ہو کر آئیں
2. پاکیزہ لباس اور ممکن حد تک سیاہ لباس میں آئیں
3. گھر میں جو سن تمیز تک پہنچے ہوئے بچے ہوں ان کو ساتھ لائیں۔
4. اپنے ساتھ کاغذ اور قلم لائیں اور مجلس کے نکات نوٹ کریں۔
5. مجلس سے واپس آکر اپنے گھروالوں اور ملنے والوں سے مجلس کے مفید نکات بیان کریں۔
6. اپنے ساتھ تسبیح اور جیب میں خاک شفاء رکھیں یہ مومن کی نشانی بھی ہے اور تحفظ کی ضمانت بھی۔
7. خواتین و حضرات حجاب اسلامی کی پابندی کریں۔
8. خاص طور پر خواتین شرعی لباس پہن کر آئیں۔
9. مجالس و عزداری کے اوقات میں نماز کے وقت کی رعایت کریں۔
10. دوران جلوس وقت پہ نماز باجماعت ادا کریں
11. عزداری میں کوئی ہنسی مذاق نہ کریں۔
12. امام حسین علیہ السلام پر گریہ اجر عظیم رکھتا ہے اسلیے گریہ کریں۔
13. اگر دل چاہے تو بلند آواز سے روئیں اور اس میں شرم محسوس نہ کریں۔
14. عین گریہ و زاری کی حالت میں کوئی خصوصی دعا مانگیں۔
15. رونا نہ آئے تو سر جھکا کر رونے کی کوشش کریں
16. گریہ کرتے ہوئے دوسرے مومنین کے چہروں کو نہ گھوریں۔
17. ایسی شاعری پڑھیں جو خیالی نہ ہو بلکہ حقائق پر مبنی ہو۔
18. ایسے خطیب کو سنیں جو قرآن مجید، سیرت النبی اور سیرت اہل بیت علیہم السلام کے مطابق اپنا مدعا بیان کرتا ہو۔
19. حسینیت کے اصولوں پر سامعین کی کردار سازی کرنے والے خطیب کو دعوت دیں۔
20. فرقہ واریت، دین اور امت کے لیے زہر ہے اس سے پرہیز کریں۔
21. بانیان اور شرکاء عزاداری، وقت کی پابندی کا خاص خیال رکھیں۔
22. جہاں جگہ مل جائے وہیں بیٹھ جائیں سروں کو نہ پھلانگیں۔
23. جب آنسو رواں ہوں تو تبرک کے طور پر چہرے پر مل لینا چاہیے۔
24. تبرک و نیاز کا احترام کریں۔
25. روزانہ یا ہفتے میں کم از کم ایک بار زیارت وارث ، زیارت عاشورہ پڑھیں۔
26. مجلس کے دوران اپنے موبائل فون کو سائلینٹ پر رکھنا نہ بھولیں۔
27. عاشورہ کے دن کے آداب معلوم کریں اور انکی رعایت کریں۔
28. اگر جگہ تنگ ہو تو وہاں کھل کر نہ بیٹھیں
29. اگر ممکن ہو تو گھر سے غسل کرکے نکلیں
30. عزاداری کا انتظام اس طرح کریں کہ کسی کے لیے اذیت کا سبب نہ بنے۔ پھر بھی اگر یزیدیت کو اگر اذیت ہو تو پرواہ نہ کریں۔
