For some yt-rs they have a job and yt is for fun or a side gig. If people want to be able to have decisions like that then make yourself self employed. Instead of having bitter envy. Self employment has it's own difficulties too.

Just some observations, but the death nap "Joel" took can't have been too long since cars on the highway still have power and gas in the generators, and rather than a refugee camp I believe the tents were part of a concert/festival which explains the nearby pile up as people tried to flee and then abandoned their cars before being abducted.
Some interesting observations -The "alien" appears to be a human. (10:12) -"Joel" hasn't been unconscious for too long as pointed out by a comment from Isaac Kay. -Aliens have light-based technology -Orb creatures could possibly be a "cleanup crew" sent by the aliens or perhaps the aliens themselves "feeding off" their victory -Strange guy running away around 29:08 (could be the same guy trying to get away in the car, not really sure) -Orb creature shook it's head in response (39:50) -The beam seems to focus on "Joel's" arm (41:25)

Just started watching, but this reminds me of a time when I was playing Generation Zero ( a game about swedish robots overthrowing sweden) and in the dlc, theres a lighthouse where in a note you can read about a family that get stuck in the lighthouse. It.. It made me really sad.

This game when you think about it is actually very terrifying. Imagine your just going about life as normal when suddenly good for nothing invader’s invade the planet and your whole world ( your things, your home, and maybe even your loved ones) begin to fall apart right before your eyes.
My theory is that aliens only studied the flesh of humans since it was their main component but didn't count on them using fabrics as a daily life style and maybe that's why fabric actually protects the humans

This game reminds me of a story I remember that happened where basically what happened was I forgot when a family in America was forced to fight off gray aliens for hours and they claim to have shot and killed one of em and when authorities got to the area there was nothing but they said they saw something streak above the farm
I think the “refugee encampment” area was actually a music festival that was unfortunately caught in the crossfires of the alien invasion, which would explain all the tents, portable electrical equipment, stage lights, and musical instruments. With the main stage being a space sci-fi theme, the concertgoers probably thought at first that the invasion was all a part of the show, until the tractor beams began shining down on the festival and taking anyone in its light. That would explain why that area appears so desolate, because the concertgoers were running futilely for their lives that in their horror they failed to realize that hiding in any shadow would protect them. But then again, how could anyone process rationality when your friends are being sucked up into an alien ship. That’s probably what happened to that area. That thought alone sends a chill down my spine.

I think those orbs seem to speak through a rhythmic language tone, I'm not sure what it's called but it's kinda like morse code in a way but with tunes Also I named the orbs "orbits" since they seem to orbits around the character
These scene @8:15 reminds me of the Chronicles of Riddick movie where they invade planets by dropping these massive ships to the ground of the planet. I won't spoil what they do since its a great watch (i think).

Day 1 on asking Super horror bro to play Yomawari, A chibi styled horror game where you play as a girl exploring the night town full with horror.
When I first saw the trailer for this game, it really reminded me of Jeff Wayne's War of the worlds
The aliens could be trying to make the earth liveable so that they can live on it, or they could just be harvesting humans for food.
