Dang I may have to start making these so people have a source for them. I need one so if I'm gonna learn I might just make em for people.

Question: Instead of having to go through all the trouble of removing/installing the steering column/pedal assembly, is there any way to change out the larger brake pedal for the smaller one on from a clutch assy. and then add in the clutch pedal? In another word, are the brackets the same size so we could just swap out the two pedals? Thanks for these videos, they really answer a lot of questions.

The brackets are fairly different, so I felt like the cleanest way to do it was to just find a manual pedal assembly. I’m sure there’s some custom options out there but they probably require more fabrication than I wanted to do.

@@TorqueWagon Thanks for that input. My Burb is an 89, 6.2 and I pulled a manual pedal assembly out of a 90 Burb gasser. This setup should fit correctly, correct? PS thanks for replying so quickly!

Sorry, should have said (fit correctly, right?)

If the 90 burb was a 3/4 ton with a 454 it might work. The important thing is that the brake set up in the donor truck is a hydroboost system like the 6.2 has. If you pulled it out of a burb with vacuum assist brakes you may have some trouble getting the brake pedal to work right.

ahh was looking for where the clutch fork return spring goes... I know the small hooked part goes on the fork but where does the long rod on the end of the spring go?

Dang, I don't know what the doner vehicle was/had. I just know it was an 89 or 90 suburban, not sure whether it was 1/2 or 3/4. Is there any way for me to tell?😢

Hey TorqueWagon! I'm doing a NV4500 swap into a 73 Blazer, formerly with TH350. I'm also using the pedal assembly from a '90 Suburban. Wondering how to determine that the clutch pedal will move the right amount of fluid through the NV4500 master cylinder? There is not an adjustment for this. Are you just going to put it all together and hope for the best? Love the videos! Thanks!

That's exactly what I'm going to do. I can't say I'm too confident that it will work the first time, but I'm sure I'll figure something out eventually. The transmission is in but I haven't hooked the hydraulic lines up yet. Also, I'll be using an external slave from the late 80's hydraulic clutch setup, not the internal slave that goes with the stock GM bellhousing.
