I do come from a military background and can say with 100% certainty that steal plate with get someone killed. It may stop the round but the Spalding is what is gonna get you I wish I had a video of when we took some steal plates and shot them inside of a vest much thicker then that and it destroyed it. I do own two of the T. rex arms plate carriers but i would not recommend them for anything but using them as concealable armor
your steel plates might take multiple hit but the spalding from the first few will kill you or make you wish you were dead. Steel for training and ceramic for work.
Just add a layer of your own ceramic on top of the steel. Cut welding blanket glue ontop of steel then glue ceramic tile on top. Then wrap in black gorrila tape.
T. Rex arms removed it from their website due to multicam arid becoming obsolete for the most part. I would be happy to trade for Woodland ha being that most of my Region is wooded.
@@LevelOneGoon I see, thats lame! Desert camo patterns are my fav. Id trade you - how can we make that happen? I live in the middle of MO, so m81 aint a bad choice but tans prob work best
Just spend the 70-130 on a good placard for a off Second … one time Me and a buddy put a regular nylon plate carrier with steel plates on a stand and shot it three times with 556. now yes it stopped it but immediately after the plate fell out because of the spalling ripping the nylon literally the plate smacked the dirt and made a loud ding 😂 from the plate falling out of the carrier

That's not accurate, but I do appreciate the feedback!
@LevelOneGoon yeah like if you are taking enough hits to get through the coating you probably are catching some bullets to the limbs and face as well
Tacticon Armament has good videos showing an appropriate coating on a steel plate offers good spall protection

@@bobg3633 smh 🤦 I can’t believe yall would entrust your lives with a diy ceramic steel plate.
Quality piece of kit. Thanks for the review. 🎉
It's always a pleasure!
